Thumbs down @bilal hasan- another taliban in the making!

you are someone to talk! please keep your male chauvinistic opinion to yourself, it is because of 'MIindsets' like you that pakistan today is in such a sorry state. A 14 year old girl asking for her right to education which 'the true islam (and not your version of distorted islam)' has given her. have you never heard of something called 'freewill' given to men/women by Allah, then who are you to decide what's wrong and right. im shocked at your thinking! im sure if ure so much against america, you should be boycotting their foodchains, books, every product imported from america. last but not the least, it is because of bigots like you that people like mumtaz qadri are heroes and girls like Malala are criticized.

Lightbulb @call for change

it is a pity that educated people support taliban views, no wonder women still face discrimination at so many fronts. bilal hassan must also think that women aspiring to be CSPs is forbidden by islam. shame on such thinking!!! no matter how much we try to bring sense into them, they have their own version of islam to believe in!

If you want Pakistan be out of that sorry state then there is a Panacea, and that is Islam... if we all live according to the injunctions of Islam, there is no reason we can't live with harmony, i feel sorry for people like you want to live the way they want, not the way Allah wants us to live...sister please act as a Muslim and speak as a Muslim...

The onus is upon you to act as Muslim, condoning attack on a 14 year old child and then bringing religious justifications for the act is unislamic in its essence. It hurts not you, not me, not girls here, not boys here, not Pakistan; but it hurts only and only Islam when others start to view it as religion of violence and hatred that doesn't even tolerate a child's opinion.....

Look my sister, did i say that Women should not aspire to be CSPs or something else, all i want to say is that they must unleash their potential as best as Islam allows, not beyond that, that Girl is asking for western style of women empowerment for Muslim Women.....shame on such thinking, you see i call you my sister but you do not mind for a second your language, you also must give me the respect, which is the linchpin of a healthy discussion...

Maybe you haven't heard about the bomb blasts, exotrion, kidnap for ransom etc carried out by terrorist groups like the TTP across the country.

It is very clear from your statements that you are not in favor of granting women any rights at all. In short, you are insecure and afraid of the empowerment of women.

but the point is that they will have the excuse to say that women in Pakistan are living miserably and we have to free them, just like they freed the Iraqis...
Your argument holds no water. The condition of women in Pakistan is deplorable an the problem lies with us. It is irrelevant what Americans or Europeans think.

Are you trying to twist the words of Allah SWT? The transgressors are the TTP (and people who support them), not women fighting for their rights.
