For the time being, this is a good decision friends. Everybody knows that this facility was misused by majority youth. If we consider the productive use by youth at night, then that would not be more than 5%. If we consider the working people mobile usage after 12 night, then I don`t think there would be more then 2%. And if morality is a personal choice, then at-least steps can be taken to prevent flourishing immorality. And we all know what is the culture prevalent in Pakistan, when there is no check, majority wants to take advantage of that. That is why we have corruption, favoritism, undue influence because there is no check. What most of the people do with this facility is wasting time talking with friends. They do wake up till Fajar but they don`t offer Fajar prayer and when they go to college or university, they are still sleepy, can`t even mentally present during lectures or doing office work. And some people also used to tease other sleeping people. In Ramzan, we see Ramzan packages to let the people talk and talk.
So for the sake of few, majority cannot be sacrificed. Good Decision. Quote:

Read this: Cellular Companies Found Guilty of Rs. 47 Billion Tax Evasion: National Accountability Bureau has said that the offence has been established in Rs. 47 billion tax evasion scam of telecom companies, whereas the Bureau is going to proceed against those involved in it. Director of NAB’s Special Operations Zahir Shah told the sub-committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology (IT) that the offence has been well-established, evidence has been collected and inquiry into the case has been completed. The crime has been committed and both sides are involved in the crime. When the committee specifically asked the Director NAB to explain what he means by both sides, he categorically stated – FBR officials as well as telecom companies. The Director NAB also challenged the constitution of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) by the Federal Board of Revenue for reaching an understanding between the FBR and telecom operators on the issue of interconnection charges. Briefing the committee on the latest status of the case, Zahir stated that the NAB analyzed all aspects before taking any action to ascertain whether such action is admissible or not. The NAB has completed its homework and opinion of experts has also been taken in the scam. The Bureau has obtained all necessary documents required for the investigation from the FBR. The NAB has twice provided opportunity to the telecom operators to submit their statements. Similarly, the views of the FBR officials have also been heard and statements recorded. Mr. Shah said the FBR is a national institution engaged in revenue collection. “We do not want to malign the whole institution as only a few tax officials have been involved in the tax evasion scam of telecom sector.” About 2-3 officers of the FBR have been considered as accused. http://propakistani.pk/2012/10/15/ce...n-tax-evasion/

It is such a nice decisions taken by PTA to shun all late night packages,However, i am staggering to see that why ppl are relating this with a basic human right.dear u have complete liberty to have a strong bond of communication from morning 6 am to night 12 am.why on the name family communication and poor ppl rights we giving strong blow to our immoral behaviour on the name our basic human rights. Dont compare muslin rights with those western society man made human rights ...Alas!!! to which level of we have brought our self at least we all know that how all Pakistani are notoriously using theses so called night packages. Dear we all of the view that now our youth has reached to its maturity than our ancestor, but i think no doubt we have developed ourselves technologically, but morally the codes that were established by our ancestor were mind blowing, and we are leaving no stone to curb these codes day by day.
For God sake if you cant support any thing good so at least you must appreciates this incredible step by the govt in saving the young generation future from this menace. PS its the least level of faith if you cant feel bad in the heart for something bad and wrong happening in front of you and we all know that what are the unprecedented result we are facing from last one decade owing to these late night packages ..... May Allah open our eyes and heart for what is right and what is wrong and show us the path for which we our sent out to this world.. we dont need Musharraf enlighten Moderation..

Moreover ban on freedom of individuals results in putting them off from the right track and it kills creativity. I am witness to these facts as I have personally seen such things in my university. Such restrictions just created fear amongst the students and killed their confidence... Its a big debate.

I wonder why they are banning night call packages only?Aren't day packages promoting immoral activities?People would still have SMS facility to keep in touch even at night.

2. These night packages have far greater disadvantages than advantages. For example: I have seen many guys/gals impatiently waiting for mid night so that their elders go to the bed & they exercise their "Fundamental Right". 3.Dont you think sleepless nights are very unhealthy for human body and this may cause serious mental disorder among students if they keep using late night calling packages till dawn? P.s. I cant understand why is so much hue & cry when same cheap packages are going to be offered again but with different timings. Regards,

It is very habitual for people to enforce their opinion upon others.
'Sir you don't need Musharaf's Enlightened Moderation'. You shouldn't speak for and on the behalf of all others who co-habit this Land of the Pure with you people, because you have ignored one fact what if others need 'it'? For example I and many others like me are in favour of enlightened moderation( but not for the love of the deposed dictator of course). We have our own reasons for that and our own sets of beliefs(that is totally different from your set of beliefs obviously). Neither you and nor the government has any right to force their opinion upon others and intervene in such matters of personal freedom(freedom of choice). A government has some very important jobs to perform for its publics and ours is an utter failure in such matters like development, security ,what not and what not. How ineteresting is the fact that only the most corrupt and inefficient governments indulge themselves in such tactics and ruses like poking their noses into the private lives of their citizenry and opposite is true for transparent and efficient dispensations on this planet. P.S. You and me in this debate doesn't mean you and me personally and physically but two different mindsets that does exist in Pakistan somehow. So sir no offence meant against your physical person in these arguments. Hope you understand the essence of my viewpoint. My regards.

Its the headache of guys and girls whether to talk someone or not. No one has the right to interfere in the personal issues. No one is forced to talk in the midnight. If you want to sleep no one would force you to stay awake.
