Gham-e-zindagi teri rah ma
shab-a-aarzoo teri chah ma
jo ujar gya wo basa nahi
jo bichar gya wo mila nahi
jo dil-o-nazar ka soroor tha
mary pas rah k bhe dor tha
wo ek gulab umed ka meri shakh-a-jan pa khila nahi
mera humsafar jo ajeb ha to ajeb tar hon ma bhe
mujhy munzilon ke khabar nahi usay raston ka pata nahi
pas-a-karawan sar-a-rehguzar ma khara hon to islia
k qadam to sab sa mila lia mera dil kisi sa mila nahi

main yonhi guzar dyta shaby gham sambhal sambhal
tumhy kiya mila bata doo mari zindgi badal ky
bary bewafa hain ansoo sary bazam aaj chalky
mari aarzoo ko luta mari chashmy nam main pal ky
main esi liy khincha hoon ky unhay bhe aay ghusa
k woh ult dyn parda mari berukhi pe jal k
