Ik beher-e-bay-kinaar ki manzil ki simt hay
Khuwabon mai aik bheegi hui khush-dili kay saath
Milti hay aashna say koi ajnabi si mauj
Baadal bhanwar kay haath say laitay hain apna rizq
Phir uss ko baant'tay hain ajeeb bay-rukhi kay saath
Jungle mai sehan-e-baagh mai shehron mai dasht mai
Chashmon mai aabshaaron mai jheelon kay tasht mai
Gaahay yeh us ban kay sanwertay hain berg berg
Gaahay kisi ki aankh mai bhertay hain iss tarah
Aansu ki ik boond mai dajla dikhai day
Aur doosray hi pal mai jo daikho to door tak
Raig-e-rawaan dard ka sehra dikhaai day
Baadal kay behar kay jitnay hain silsilay
Mujh say bhi teri aankh kay rishtay wohi to hain
