چلو وہ عشق نہیں چاہنے کی عادت ہے
پہ کیا کریں ہمیں* اک دوسرے کی عادت ہے

تو اپنی شیشہ گری کا ہنر نہ کر ضائع
میں آئینہ ہوں* مجھے ٹوٹنے کی عادت ہے

میں کیا کہوں کہ مجھے صبر کیوں نہیں آتا
میں کیا کروں کہ تجھے دیکھنے کی عادت ہے

ترے نصیب میں اے دل ! سدا کی محرومی
نہ وہ سخی، نہ تجھے مانگنے کی عادت ہے

وصال میں* بھی وہی ہے فراق کا عالم
کہ اسکو نیند مجھے رت جگے کی عادت ہے

یہ مشکلیں ہیں تو پھر کیسے راستے طے ہوں
میں ناصبور اسے سوچنے کی عادت ہے

یہ خود اذیتی کب تک فراز تو بھی اسے
نہ یاد کر کہ جسے بھولنے کی عادت ہے
