bahut se log pashemaan ho gae hote
jo baat sach thii agar vo kahii gaii hotii


Khushii ne Thiik kiyaa jo hamase duur-duur rahii
hamaare paas jo aatii to ro pa.Dii hotii


tujhe bhii log hamaarii tarah samajh lete
hamaare jaiso se terii agar dostii hotii


mai.n raushanii ke saraabo.n se to bachaa rahataa
nasiib me.n jo zaraa aur tiiragii hotii

kab tak chain ki mohlat do gay, kab tak yaad na aaogay

beeta deed umeid ka mausam, khaak udti hai ankhon mein
kab bhejogay dard ka baadal, kab barkhaa barasaaogay

ahad-e-vafaa aur tark-e-muhabbat jo chaho so aap karo
apney bas ki baat hi kya hai, hamsey kya manavaogay
