advantages of doing css to the isi officers

dear friends:i want to know that if some one get selected 4 isi and the same time he/she qualify css, is css qualification will be benefitial for him/her?
i need ur comments toward right direction.

Dear, your question is not clear. Anyhow, both ISI and CSS have different methods for selection and both have no relation with each other whether you are selected as AD or pass CSS no affect on each other.

Dear alvina666 if u hv asked abt da comparison of both den i wud say dat css is better dan ISI even if u r allocated any services group in css n if u r talkin abt wot kind of benefits u wud get in ISI after passing css den im afraid dat dey r not interlinked in dat way n u wont b getin any benefit...ur question is confusin though bt dats how i perceived it

Dear Alvina first of all both r different feilds...but here if u make comperison then CSS is a good choice... and also AD isi is good for those who aint selected in CSS... but its not good that u prefer upon CSS. Ad ISI is tough job for ciclivain i have asked some officers in their..and they were somehow tired of it...they said that we works under Army officers and they dont give such values to civilian officers and mostly they get degraded and taking hard work from them...some officer said they will try to shift to FIA when post will announced in FIA. so now u can see ur self...

so now Good choice is >> CSS r FIA....

As far i am perceiving your question,you are meant to say that after passing AD isi exam ,would last any impact in selection process after qualifying written portion of css exam.

It has been happened in past,most of the candidates have been allocated in good groups due to suitability clause which is applied by the chairman.however,previous job or exprience can last any impact in allocation but have uncertainity.

but my question was that if someone is an experienced 17th grade officer in isi his experience will be taken into consideration or not after qualifying css?
in a near past i met with a csp officer who was previously in police department, he told me that police and isi personnels got maximum benefits after doing css like earlier job promotion etc

He was in police department previously and after qualifying css his preference was to join the same department.he got earlier promotion within six month.but if someone is not interested in police or millitary and cantonement department and want to join other departments like custom or forigen service will he get any benefit?

Experience is considered, if someone has background of ISI, he/she will be enjoying some benefits in Foreign Services due to his touch of job in prestigious intelligence department and its experience is highly appreciated in PSP first then FSP.

A serving 18 grade ISI official, he is on deputation in Police department at IG Office Karachi, as SP, enjoys special privileges and direct in contact with IB/ISI and Police, had a great training in London but he personally likes PSP Group through CSS.

As AD ISI job is office-based, one has to do reporting work, assisting to seniors and preparing meeting stuff all the time.

@ MBA, Quite a few days ago, i requested you regarding designation (seniority) of the discussed ISI official whether he was AD or Deputy Director in ISI, when he was transferred to Police. Secondly, i want to ask my fellow members, is there any benefit given to those ISI officials who clear CSS & still opt to stay with ISI. Waiting for reply..

Dear Slazenger,

Sorry for late reply I didnt find that query, well He joined as AD ISI, then promoted as DD in IB, after 3 years in IB he was promoted to Police as SP at CPO(IG) Office, here in karachi.
