Don't ask about the firs part of your question. It is a long story. It requires time to explain. Just remember that I am an example of a person who has been suffering due to corruption in this land of pure. So jobless right now.

For second part of your question I have an expereince of 5 years and 3 months as a grade 17 officer (Gazetted)

Ok good luck bro

BTW had this query since long and no one is able to answer this for me. What is CGPA(scale of 4) equivalent to 60%

If they need first division bachelors degree then how much is it in CGPA? My assumption that it is 2.4 is based on some University (NED KARACHI) eligibility criteria for Post graduate programmes. They require first division or GPA of 2.4 in bachelors for admissions in masters. So is my calculation correct? Plus 2.4 out of 4 is also equal to 60% if we do simple math.

On HEC website I came across a chart, according to which 2.5 was equal to 60% so I am confused. While some people on this forum say that 2.8 is equal to 60% which is highly improbable because in some universities it is very hard to maintain 2.8 (for eg IoBM Karachi, SZABIST etc) while managing 60% is really really easy. So having 2.8 equal to 60% will not make any sense

It is always better to consider HEC Pakistan as a reference. The following site is much simpler though details are not provided. Just go check out your percentage and find the group on the scale of 4.0 which is usually considered.

Dear it is very sad to know about your suffering, We pray that may you get this job!

Dear since you are having experience of Govt job, please let us know your views about this NAB BPS-17 job? What is the future? Will we too have to resort to corruption in order to survive in the organization?

Please also furnish your views regarding interview preparation. Thanks

Forget my sufferings, Allah only burdens one what one can bear. Only Allah alone knows the best.

First of all I still don't know why there is NAB when the government has the Anti-Corruption Department. This makes me feel, some how, not sure, but may be, the Armed Forces' Think-Tanks might use this NAB as tool, in future, to control the rampant corruption from the society. Please don't ask a word ahead about it I will not be in the position to disucss it further due to my past worst expereinces.

The current openings are temporary but will be regular, hopefully. Interestingly those NAB officials who have gone to the court against the on-going recruitment were, seems to me, wanting the inherited promotion without going through this whole procedure of written test-psychological test and finally interview. I can remember similar action in the past in which the organizational head won the case and the emplyees lost on the ground of MERIT. So hopefully this time everything will be settled soon.

Regarding the career, I beleive the perks are not the best in comparison to the private organizations and the nature of job in which temptations might distract the employees. So this will be quite odd. There are though bonuses which is a good thing but again, if you ask me there must not be bonuses here as the department is not productive in the nature but corrective. As the bonuses come from the recovered money which usually belongs to the poor people of Pakistan.

For a person who has nothing in hand it is always the best choice to join.

For Interview

I had mentioned few questions in the other posts, as there will be a long queue of candidates hence I beleive it will be like this:
(1) Few basic qustions about you, your qualifications, distinctions, expereinces e.t.c
(2) Verification of documents, it bring a couple of questions regarding your favourite subjects
(3) A Psychologist might be sitting there and may interrupt you and MAY pinch you with either harsh question regarding your subject line or personal line. Beware
