Ans. NAB is as independent as any other constitutional body in the country. It is rather more independent of political pressures as it is only answerable to the President of Pakistan which is an apolitical institution.

Ans. Chairman NAB being head of an Autonomous Institution reports to none. The provisions of NAO, does not lay down any reporting system except the Annual Performance Report, which is mandatory to be presented to the President of Pakistan by 30th March, every year, regulates the investigation and prosecution process in the NAB.
Nab is an independent agency , because according to section 28 nab ordinance , civil servants act 1973 is not applicable on nab officials .

Section 28 of the NAB Ordinance deals with the appointment of members of the staff and officers of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB):
  1. The Chairman NAB or any officer of the NAB duly authorised by him may appoint such officers and staff as he may consider necessary for the efficient performance of the [functions of the NAB] and exercise of power under this Ordinance.
  2. Omitted by Ordi CXXXIIII of 2002 dated 23-11-2002
  3. The officers and members of staff [of the NAB] shall be entitled to such salary, allowances and other terms and conditions of services as the Chairman NAB may, with the approval of the President, determine.
  4. Subject to sub-section (e) the provisions of the Civil Servants Act, 1973 (LXXI of 1973), shall not apply to the persons appointed in [or employed by, the] NAB.
  5. Nothing contained in sub-section (d) shall apply to a person who is a civil servant within the meaning of the law relating to appointments as civil servants of the Federation or a Province and is deputed to or posted in NAB.
  6. The Chairman NAB, may appoint advisers, consultants and experts, on payment of such fee or remuneration as he may determine, to assist him in performing the functions of the NAB and the discharge of his duties under this Ordinance.
  7. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, or in any law for the time being in force, the Chairman NAB, shall not be required to consult the Federal Public Service Commission for making appointments and on matters relating to qualifications of persons for such appointments and methods of their recruitment and the qualifications for appointments and methods of recruitment shall be such as he may by rules prescribe.

This is the section which shall be quoted to you if you tried to rely on FPSC's rules. Particular emphasis is on the text which is in bold.

Any one from KP received call or call letter for interview of AD?

someone in the forum said that interview of AD is on 24 October in KP. but i haven't received any call or call letter yet.

I am really worried about it.

I called on the number but the person there didn't give any satisfying answer. He said jo bhi ho ga pata chal

is there any one else from KP who have received any call or call letter for interview for AD. ?

check out the new list on nab website

Interviews for AD are scheduled on 31st October where as interviews of DD and JIO are scheduled on 25th.

updated schedule and lists are uploaded on website.
