I do not have a law background, but as layman I can offer my humble opinion based on common sense. Let’s say we sue him, what is the ground for such an adventure? Can we sue him because he went to the court? He used the constitutional right to contact court against the supposed injustice to him. He did not make us (the candidates waiting for result) defendant in this petition. Did he? Secondly, it is the court that will judge how far the petitioner is affected. Now, let’s put our foot in his shoes, we would have probably done the same as he did. No one wants to miss opportunity for job and that in an era when merit is suppressed, nepotism stands high and your qualification-cum-intellect is replaced by political connection-cum-financial strength as criteria for positions in both the public and private sector. As you previously said that this kind of opportunity to work for Pakistan’s premier white collar crime agency comes in decades, perhaps the petitioner is also conscious of this fact and is playing out of his skin to grab this chance. We tend to ignore the circumstances that pushed the individual to resort to lawsuit against NAB for whatever it did to him. Why don’t we blame NAB that called the candidate right from Balochistan to Karachi and then decline his interview and send him back with a lot of agony? Had there been anybody, the reaction would have been a duplicate to that of him. Besides the fact that he prepared hard for all tests and interview, he paid for travelling from Balochistan to Karachi, stayed with friends/relatives or in hotel costing him financially, he showed up for interview with great ambitions only to hear “Sorry, we will not interview you”. (As for the cost associated with travelling for interview, I understand it very well as I travelled from remote district of Sindh to Karachi to show up for interview.) Is this justice and fair play? Don’t we think that such a ruthless action throttled his ambitions? Do we realize that a blatant refusal for interview, despite having a call, was too good to brutalize his emotions? The candidate has simply strived for his legitimate right and we cannot blame him for that. It was the Honorable High Court, but the candidate, that imposed the restraint. We should rather blame NAB for messing up with him and regret the flaws in our criminal justice system. Lastly, may I please request everyone to use English in English and refrain from typing Urdu in English? It is disgusting to read Roman Urdu that is unreasonable considering the fact that everyone on this forum is graduate and able to communicate in English. |

CSS website and the facebook page have provided us a top-notch forum to opine and network from preparation of test (I was not participant in the previous tests-related discussions) to hammering out a line of action to steer our recruitment out of this vicious cycle. Every one of us, the candidates or the prospect selectees, share their opinions, frustration, agony, impatience and annoyance, and verbalize anomalous suggestions to wrestle out offer letters from NAB as if we were restless and unthinking kids. Involving the media persons, who I believe damn care anybody's employment, tops these strange suggestions that I thoroughly disagree with. As for BHC stay about which nothing solid has surfaced except speculation and I quite skeptical about it, we have just been shooting from the hip since this news (rumor) escalated.
Some of us are really intelligent people and have offered the ideas that carry potential to make positive impact in this so-far-unfavorable development. Have we made any effort to translate theso valuable ideas into practical action? Talk is cheap, and these virtual discussions will not work as long as we continue to stay in slumber. How many of us have planned to have a physical meeting or spoken with one another on phone to discuss what to do in this situation? Majority of us even do not like to share our true identity on css website due to the reason known. The extent of our paranoia is that most of us visit this website with pseudo names but didn't join facebook page to conceal our identity. What to do with this community of interest that appears less serious in getting its interest is a food for thought. |

Dear friends, some of our FORUM MEMBERS are thinking to arrange press conference or to involve media persons in our recruitment but as far as my advice is concerned, i will not agree with this option becuase MEDIA will not favour our recruitment, they will cash it as a hot burnt issue. MEDIA is also against the NAB, so our this step will further push us in the deep problems and i m 99% sure that after media involvement our recruitment process will be cancelled. So, plz plz don't involve media in this campaighn. Let the NAB handle this issue by themselves. inshallah in this week we will get a good news, NAB is making extensive efforts to complete this process. Don't increase problems for NAB.
