Medical Examination Process in JPMC in Karachi.
Steps: 1. Take a photocopy of your medical examination request to Civil Surgeon, whose office is in Pakistan Secretariat (near Passport Office) 2. Take a letter which states the tests which you need to get done. 3. Pay PKR 100 at nearest National Bank Branch i.e. PIDC. 4. 12 hours fasting (you can drink water only) is required for one of the test i.e. Lipid Profile. 5. Go to Eye OPD at 8am for slip and number. 6. Pay PKR 150 in Accounts Department for Lab Tests. 7. Go to Main Lab, they will take your Blood and Urine for tests. (Lab timing is till 12 only). 8. Eat something as Random Blood Test is also required (i.e. without fasting). 9. Come back and get yourself examined by Optician. 10. Go back to main lab for Blood sample for Random Blood Test. 11. Pay PKR 500 at Emergency Lab for Hepatitis Test and give your blood sample. 12. Go to Main OPD for ECG for free. 13. Go to X-ray ward for get your X-rays done for PKR 75. 14. Obtain the result and get it signed by Specialist and come back to get it stamped from the reception. 15. Obtain your Blood and Urine results on next day and Hepatitis probably after 4 days. 16. Submit all your results to Medical Board at Pakistan Secretariat and pay PKR 750. Kind Regards. |

However there is a lot of ambiguity in your post. So can you answer some of my questions so that i can get all my medical tests done tomorrow only. Please guide me step by step First of all civil surgeon office opens at 9 so should i visit him first or should i go to eye opd at 8am for slip and number? Second step when he suggests me tests i will have to go NBP branch. Nearest branch is at avari tower hotel. However in which account should i have to deposit Rs.100? After that i should visit accounts department and submit rs. 150 for the tests mentioned in the slip? Then i have to go for the blood and urine test which will cover lipid profile test also? Then What is the random blood test? U mean to say i will have to give random blood test after going to Eye OPD and before that i have to eat something? Then after that hepatitis test bro how many needles will they use on me?? Obtain the result and get it signed by Specialist and come back to get it stamped from the reception. Which result are you talking about? The Xray one? Ok after getting all the results they will be submitted to civil surgeon. In how many days will they issue the medical certificate? |

Bro add me on facebook .... I'll share my contact details with you and can clear your ambiguities and may be some sort of help as I am visiting JPMC for eye test tomorrow.
Contact information is in my profile. 1. First of all civil surgeon office opens at 9 so should i visit him first or should i go to eye opd at 8am for slip and number? Yep, you should go there first , and if you are coming tomorrow for tests, I can get you the Eye OPD slip while you are at Civil Surgeon. 2. Second step when he suggests me tests i will have to go NBP branch. Nearest branch is at avari tower hotel. However in which account should i have to deposit Rs.100? He will give you one treasury receipt, get two photocopies of those. Fill in your name and sign all three copies. Pay fee at any branch you think is nearest be it PIDC or Avari and he will return you one receipt. You can even do this at day end. 3. After that i should visit accounts department and submit rs. 150 for the tests mentioned in the slip? Yes 4. Then i have to go for the blood and urine test which will cover lipid profile test also? Then What is the random blood test? Random is without fasting. They will insist you to get it done while fasting but I think it better to get done without fasting as Medical Board may object to it so dont take chances 5. U mean to say i will have to give random blood test after going to Eye OPD and before that i have to eat something? Yep, you need to eat / drink something atleast 75 minutes (as you were fasting) before giving the blood Then after that hepatitis test bro how many needles will they use on me?? 3 lol :p Obtain the result and get it signed by Specialist and come back to get it stamped from the reception. Which result are you talking about? The Xray one? Yep Ok after getting all the results they will be submitted to civil surgeon. In how many days will they issue the medical certificate? Not sure will confirm tomorrow Moreover, the fees and tests I qouted were for ADs, the fees may vary. Also, few of the tests for JIOs. Last edited by Man Jaanbazam; Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 11:24 PM.
