What are the prospects of females as Preventive Officer?
Is it the first time FBR recruiting females for the said post?

What exactly is the job description?
I would really appreciate your help.

Frankly speaking, i have not seen any female insp or preventive officer so far. Prospects for females are same as male officers. Job description is that you have to examine custom related items. P.O is more or less inspector customs. The only difference is that they are only posted at lahore and karachi. Rest its highly respectable job. Promotions are slow. Overall better than several grade 16 and even some grade 17 jobs. Best of luck for interview.

Dear, so far as insp customs and p.0 are concerned, both are more or less identical. However, i would prefer insp customs over p.o because of its INSPECTOR tag. Mean to say when you are introducing yourself in front of someone, the word inspector looks more attractive and powerful than p.o .
Coming to the question's second part. i would prefer inspector customs over fia. Reason is simple, customs is a tension free and independent job with minimal risk chances. On the other hand, Insp fia is less independent and officers are vulnerable to several threats. Moreover, financially insp customs is better than its fia counterpart. Promotions are deadly slow in both the departments.

So, keeping all these factors in mind, your order of preference should be:


1. Inspector customs
2. Inspector FIA
3. Preventive officer.

Rest you can better decide once you make all the three. best of luck for interview.

sadly i have applied for only preventive officer and am looking for interviews. I wish i had applied for inspector and appraising officer too.

please please please reply my question i wears the glasses up to -6 number does any problem in interview or after selection. i mean is their any department requirement for eye side in FIA or Custom Insp or P.O ?

What about inspector inland revenue? I mean which one is better Inspector customs or Inland revenue? as i have qualified the both for the next stage..
