FPSC selection criteria for general recruitment is 100 + 200. Mean , 100 marks for mcqs paper and 200 for interview. Total 300 marks. In order to get allocated, one needs to score high in both the formats.. No weightage for qualification etc

Now only pre-selections will be carried out by FPSC after scrutiny of documents sent by those candidates who have passed screening test and pre-selected candidates will be called for interview. Then FPSC will recommend successful candidates by issuance of press release. Finally FBR will issue offer letter to recommended candidates. You will have take that offer letter to stipulated place in stipulated time to give joining. They will refer you to medical board where your fitness will be decided by concerned board. When the board declare u as fit, then with effect from same date u will become part of FBR.

the thing creating confusion in my mind is why fpsc has called far greater number of candidates than the desired one. For instance, on 200 posts fpsc should have called 630 candidates. Against this, fpsc has called 754 means 124 extra candidates. I think fpsc has shortlisted the same marks securing candidates as well.

Good question! FPSC will most probably call 3 candidates for each seat. Why they have shortlisted so many candidates? that's because after scrutiny of documents many candidates who do not fulfill criteria for advertised post would be rejected and those who fulfill criteria would be pre-selected and called for interview. For sake of argument if all candidates who submitted documents fulfill the advertised criteria, then low merit candidates will be rejected.

In serial number wise names are those of candidates who secured high marks in Screening test??
