Panel interview will be according to your subject of specialization. i can quote my example, I have graduated in M.Sc economics. In my panel interview they put questions about my basic course work, most of the time they put some situation in front of me regarding economy and asked my opinion, like if there is inflation in economy wht steps should state bank take to eliminate it, thn they asked wht will be impact on iflation if govt wants to increase employment in economy and more questions like this. But do study about some current socio economic situations, most preferable the current global crisis. it will help u in quoting examples.

i have specialized in marketing so that means that my PI would be about marketing and its app in current scenario???
can u guide me a bit more

Most probably they will be asking about your field. they will also ask general questions like role of sbp and its importance but the main focus will be on your field of specialization

I just want to know when the new sbot batch will start. The list of successful candidates have been put on their website. When the letters will be dispatch and will they give us adequate time to resign from our present jobs.

How long the training at ISB is going to last? i've heard it's 6 months? 6 months starting from which month? any chances that this training can be shifted to Karachi?

I've recently been accepted at IBA for MBA program. the training schedule is clashing with my semester and dat's really terrible for me! i've been told i can extend the semester but i need to know exactly when the training will finish (i just hope training doesn't extend into my 2nd semester)

please help provide concrete information. thanks!

Welcome to the State Bank of Pakistan and in the whole new arena of IBA

There isn’t any chance of training being shifted to Karachi, training at Islamabad will last for 5 and half months and it might clash with your next MBA semester, since fall 2009 semester of IBA will end on 18 January 2010 and spring semester will probably start from January 25, 2010

So if your training starts soon after Eid (i.e. 21 September 2009) it will end in first week of March and if you enroll yourself for fall semester, you will miss first mid term exam of spring semester which ultimately mean failing the course (since 2007, IBA has changed its policy for mid term examinations from best of two mid exams out of three to only two mid exams).

So take calculated steps, according to your priorities.

PS: Time frame mentioned for IBA semesters is for evening program.
