Default Interview Preparation for Assistant Electrical Engineer (Railway)

Asalaam-o-Alaikum Everybody.

I hope to come across various Engineers at this site. Their guidance may prove helpful to all those appearing for all such posts in general and this post in particular. Right now my mind is replete with a lot of ambiguities, which I hope will be cleared by respected follows.

First of all I would like to know as whether there are other members who are supposed to appear before FPSC panel for this post?
Secondly, have they received interview call letters, because the schedule has been announced on fpsc website? (I haven't received yet).
My third Question pertains to their place of interview as well as What documents are we supposed to bring with ourselves on the day of interview? Also, whether or not are we supposed to take our original credentials with us on or before the interview date?
Fourth, it would be kind if some one mentions the topics that one should prepare keeping in view that both Electrical and Electronic Engineers were eligible for this post. (I have Electronic Engineering background).

I would be grateful to all those who provide assistance in this regard.

Stay blessed.

Brother, I am as naïve as you in this regard as I'll be appearing before the panel for first time on 9th of this month, and that too in Karachi, inshaa Allah. However, as regard the topics, I assume one should prepare Machines (Generators, Motors, Transformers) from Electric point of view and Devices (Diodes, BJTs, FETs, Amplifiers, 4-layer diodes, Gates, Flip-Flops, Counters, Registers etc) from Electronic point of view. Moreover, the Power side should be touched and little bit of information pertaining to Microprocessors and Microcontroller must be acquired, I feel.

This is all what I can assume right now. Best of Luck, bro

The written test for Electrical Engineer in our case consisted of topics from Basic Electrical circuits like ohm's law, kirchhoff's laws, Thevenin and Norton Theorems, Superposition theorem, Voltage and Current Devider formulas etc. Besides Electronic Devices like Diodes, Transistors (both BJTs and Fets) , ICs, Filters, Oscillators, Gates, Flip-flops, counters and registers were also included in the test. In addition to these topics were asked about the Machines (Generators, Motors, Transformers etc).

The paper consisted for 100 MCQs from the said topics. If your friend prepare from the books "A Text Book of Electrical Engineering by M.HANDA" and " A Text book of Electronic Engineering by M.HANDA", he would find the paper a piece of cake. I mean, in our case the entire paper was designed from these books. Regards
The topics were:
1. Power Generation
2. Power Distribution
3. Power Transmission
4. AC DC MaCHINES
5. RF Amplifiers
6. Oscillators
7. Electrical Electronic Circuits
8. Semiconductor Devices
9. Analog Electronics
10. Digital Electronics
