The interview was ok, the panel was the same as mentioned in some previous post, Naguib shb, Moin sb n one senior officer of Asf i presume, not a very tough interview, the questions revolved around my personality, my subject, my thesis and media, i ws confident before and after the interview. There were 12 people in the interview and i was probably the youngest among them, all working and some had again been selected previously but didn't join cuz of several reasons.

Well i'll wait for the call letter and thn make my decision insha'Allah..

You'll be entitled to draw net salary approx. Rs.28400/- as of September, 2012.


Medical Allowance is included in your salary & single residence is provided free of cost at ASF Camp, however, there are societies/houses if you're looking for one. The hiring facility is subjected to approval which is mostly granted on seniority-cum-availability-of-funds basis.

I think that we need to check fpsc site time and again, bcs nobody told us abt the result date and b/w interview tension was so high that nobody dared to ask...;-)

I also recive the offer letter yesterday and finally decided to join ASF after consultation from seniors. Hope to meet you all selected candidates of case 147 at ASF academy on 08 oct.

Yes I have faxed the willing letter today.

mubashir bhai have u any information about dad's result?i think they are not going to call the recommended candidates in the course beginning in November.Inspectors have already reported in the ASF academy.

After final interview fpsc generally takes 30 to 40 days in announcement of result. as per my guess result will be announced just before EID or immediately after EID.

Yes, I served in ASF for little over six months. It's a very challenging job with little incentives & growth chances. The better side is the BPS-16, Federal government & designation (Inspector or Dy.AD) etc plus little control of entry point at the airports across the country. The salary is just parallel to some other sister agencies working in the country. To say the least, it's not a job of choice. You may apply for it, join when if you get selected, BUT always keep your aim higher & once you're in ASF, continue your struggle for getting through different BPS-17 Exams conducted through FPSC/PPSC.

Their course/training has already begun from 8th October, 2012. The Dy.ADs may or may not join them depends upon the decision of the ASF authorities.

I'm sorry I have no such information. Regarding the number of courses conducted by ASF, it's at their disposal subjected to the completion of necessary arrangements.
