Default Study Scheme

Kindly share your study scheme here.

How you manage to prepare all subjects?

How you started your preparation? Did you prepare compulsory first or option or both at the same time?

Did you consult notes or made your own?

Will it suffice to consult only one book for one subject?

How can we prepare Optional subjects? Should they be prepared along with compulsory subjects? For example Punjabi 1 with Pak study one day , Punjabi 2 with G.K 2nd day or should they be prepared separately?

How many hours a day? ( Very awkward question but minimum )

Essay:

Yes one has less time in comparison to CSS but there is no requirment of minimum words. But still many candidates fail to manage the time. Even some fellows even dont read the required time and end up in leaving the essay incomplete. To counter this problem, i suggest you to repeatedly " practice" before exam. With prior practice , you can comfortably attempt the paper with in given time.

You have chosen science subjects, if worked smartly, you can effectively score among top positions. At this point of time, its not certain to quote any specific date for exam, however they are very much expected by august - september 2014.

There is little difference amongst CSS and PMS essay paper. Both papers require same set of skills that include , reasonable knowledge of the topic being attempted, command over usage of language(Good Vocabulary) , Coherence and minimum grammatical/spell mistakes. If your essay stands the test of these parameters then you can be sure about your success.

The difference of allocated time(2 hours for pms and 3 hours for css) makes no difference provided that you make a practice of completing your essay with in two hours. The more you will practice, the more you will learn from your own efforts.

UrduUrdu General including Essay)
Paper is divided in to 5 questions:
1-Essay :25 marks
2-Explanation of poetic verse: 20 marks
3-Precise: 20 marks
4-usage of proverbs in sentences: 15marks
5-Translation of an English paragraph: 20

This paper judges one’s overall Urdu Language skills. This has remained a low scoring subject because candidates take it for granted by not preparing it to the required level. In fact we don’t study urdu as language at graduation or post graduation level so our writing skills in urdu deteriorates over the time.So I ‘ll advise the aspirants to take paper of urdu general general very serious because good scores in this paper can make much difference.

Mass Communication:
Last time it remained most opted optional paper and its average score remained around 110 to 130 though a few candidates scored more than 140 marks but such candidates were not more than 5 . The examiners normally ask general type of questions mostly related to current issues. Last time questions about the role of ISPR , Pakistani Media , CNN etc were asked. I think any one book one available in the market will suffice to prepare this paper.
Dear Brother AOA
I am thankful to you for your assistance Kindly post the authentic and valuable book of English Essay & G.Knowledge.
Thanks.
Take care

But essay paper has remained a headache for aspirant so i would like to get some information.

How to start the preparation for this particular subject? Should it be studied daily?

Is it good to do some guess work or one should cover wide range of topics?

Is it true only flowery language can fetch you good marks in essay?

Which source should we consult the most? Dawn will be the one but anything else than newspaper?

How can we enhance our writing skill? Tell us your way of practicing essay paper? How often you practiced essay. I mean did you practice it on daily basis?
The general practice of writing helps you in essay writing however flow of thought and ordererly sequence of ideas is vitally significant in order to pass. Reading Dawn Newspaper and creative writing is pre-requisite for essay. You should be able to write on any given topic, no guess work shall help you.
regards

Dear, i shall answer all your questions but lets be specific while asking questions. Ask one by one, it is difficult to reply in such a detail.
