Can any body tell what the panel look for in an interview i mean what is their criterion? Do they examine whether a candidate is suitable for the given job or they see the written marks too before awarding the interview marks.

No body knows what they look for....
You can expect anything from them....

1. dear there is no unique approach for punjabi preparations. give priority to classical and jadeed poets and memorize their couplets(more than 10 of each). moreover, complete syllabus should be learnt. i can share my notes with you.
2. it is my opinion that psychological assessment has a significant role in your interview. both written and spoken are important. moreover, opinion based questions in interview play a special role.
3. i did not answer all questions. do not argue if you are not sure about any thing. you can politely disagree with interviewer on any matter with logic. calmness and eye contact with respective panelist is also important.

That would be very kind of you you can email the notes if they are in soft form otherwise we can arrange something else.
I am planning to opt Punjabi in both CSS and PMS for my next attempt. I needed notes and guidance as it is totally a new subject for me. But i have a real knack for Punjabi Sufi Poetry and i hope i can memorize the couplets. Please tell me a book that covers all the syllabus of Punjabi for bothPMS and CSS.

Coming to the interview my psychological went well. I have had a sound educational background with active participation in extracurricular activities, sports and social services with documentary proofs.
I performed satisfactorily in both written and interview of the assessment. And i had mock interviews before going for the real interview at a famous institute in Lahore. But i don't know what might have been the reason for my poor result in the interviews. I have a good knowledge of national, international politics, economics, science, IT, professional and international work experience. What does the panel want other than this ? i even scored better in the written. I simply fail to understand the reason.
I cannot recall any situation where i was impolite and was not making eye contact with the panel. I speak fluent English, Urdu, Punjabi, Chinese, Bengali and Gaelic. But it is totally unbelievable that i was rated so low by the panel.
After going through the whole process myself i now have doubts about the whole process of selection and this so called transparency that is advocated by this commission.
I was awarded 91, 96 , 89 and 93 marks in other interviews held by the same commission and its members for different posts of BS14, BS 16 and BS 17 posts and was recommended in all of the cases. This particular interview was a routine work for me but still you can see the marks 128/200. (pathetic)

No need to be happy to cross 750 in DMC. Gen sb's policy kept all and sundry happy. However, in Viva, Panel Chief has DDO power whether to triumph or collapse the future of Candidate.

How many opinion based questions did they ask? And how many times it happened that their question was extracted from your answer?

Gen. sab take two turns. One in the beginning and second in the end. How did the second one go?
