Question Job Description of Assistant Protocol Officer.

Hello,

I have been working in Sindh Government as P.S since 2010.
Recently, I made a plan to take transfer to Protocol Department which is a Sub-Division of Services General Administration & Coordination Department, Government of Sindh.

I talked to many people but none of them could satisfy me with the sufficient information or responsibilities of an Assistant Protocol Officer.

I know that it belongs to Hospitality Wing which basically deals with internal & external VIP & VVIP movements in the city.

Can anyone help me out with it?

Thank You.

Well My Friend, Protocol Section which basically is a part of SGACD, Govt of Sindh, works under the command of a Director General. There is a Chief Protocol Officer, several Protocol Officers then Assistant Protocol Officers. They are entitled for different Protocol Duties. Some are posted with CM House, Governor House, PM House etc where they make travel, boarding lodging type of arrangements of the Govt functionary, they are attached with. some of them are attached with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and work as Liasion Officers between MOFA and Govt of Sindh and deals with foreigners. whereas Some work in the Headquarters and they usually pick/drop and give protocol to Govt functionaries, VVIP, VIP, bureaucrats, Politicians, their families going any where from Jinnah International Airport they usually have Protocol Passes (red colored) Airport entry cards issued by the ASF. Protocol section also inform law enforcement agencies regarding movement and routes of VIPs VVIPs. I hope this is enough for you...........

Regards
