after final selection of candidates in PCS 2008, only DDO (R) selectees, presently ACs, were given training for about 6 months at karachi whereas section officers didn't get any kind of training.

If you are selected as AC, you may be posted anywhere in sindh.

and section officers can be posted to any of 46 departments of government of sindh e.g. health, education, finance and even in CM secretariat.

Thanks once again. I really appreciate your help.

I have a personal preference to stay posted in Karachi, I do not want to relocate to other areas of sindh, so if , suppose I am selected as an Excise & taxation officer or a section officer, in that case I would be posted only in Karachi right ? Because I believe apart from Assistant Commissioer posts, all other departments like taxation and education , health etc are headquartered in Karachi. I hope you got what I am trying to ask. .

Question Query regarding optionals
Hello Friends,

Hope that everyone would be fine.

I have a query regading selections of optionals, so seniores, friends and specially Ali Malah sb is requested to respond with a conclusive answer. This would also help new friends regarding selection of their optionals.

After thorough checking, I have 3 combinations to chose from.

Option-1
Sociology
Public Admin
Sindhi Literature

Option-2
Sociology
Public Admin
Islamic History-1

[B]Option-3
Sociology
Sindhi Literature
Islamic history-1

As per Ali Malah sb, there is no specific scoring trend in pcs, so your expert opinion is required in this regard as to which option which be feasible and easy to grasp.

dear if you are selected as AC, even then, there is a strong likelihood that during most of your service period you remain posted at karachi.

if you want to serve in karachi only, honestly speaking, post of section officer is the only solution.

talking about E & T department, ETOs are also posted on whole sindh basis. being ETO you can be posted at hyderabad, sanghar, nawabshah, etc.

dear naveed, i think you should go for choice no. 1 i.e. sociology, pub. ad. and sindhi litereature. good combination of subjects. hopefully, you are going to perform best in those sunjects

well by going through approx all the posts regarding optional subkect selection, I have concluded that the arts subjects are mostly preferred by aspirants appearing for CCE (SPSC). What is the trend for science subjects because i have an aptitude for science subject.
my selection would be:
1-Agriculture and forestry
2-Zoology
3-Islamiat.
please mention the books for compulsary subjects.
