BSC is so much better now. fast promotion and salary of ypip more than sbot in 2 years

One of my friends was inducted in YPIP batch of 2010 and is not very much happy with the job due to promotion lags and other related issues. YPIP's always dream about SBOT's.
SBOT's is the cream batch selection of SBP.

I met a YPIP guy on the day of interview, he also applied for SBOTS, he was in BSC for almost 3 years. His words not mine "YAAR SBP se aik **** aa k humare Director ko zaleel kardeta hai". There was a reason he wanted to come to SBP and settle for a lesser salary.

Plus if you want to move some private bank BSC Experience will yield you nothing at best you can into compliance but SBP experience can take you places. Anyone who is career oriented does not want to be stuck in a Govt entity forever. So once you are out and looking for a job in Pakistan or outside like IMF, WB or leading world banks, you can only get in them with SBP experience.

It is true that BSC has better growth within the organization especailly for YPIP 1 guys who have a clear raod ahead of themselves. not for the latter batches they will have their work cut out.

Career growth and financial benefits vary in both YPIP and SBOTS from time to time as both have different HR, but there is one major difference between both the jobs. YPIP is hired for BSC to conduct day to day operational business whereas in State Bank there is policy work. In State Bank people take into consideration bigger picture, vision is broaden and skills are groomed at Macro level.

so how do we go about this? Its almost 6 months now. i am sure they have to deal with this conundrum at a national level but still its really annoying for those waiting.

Yup. You are right.

Priorities do change with time. I myself have become inclined towards lecturership. Planning to do MPhil.. Moreover, job in karachi... Not very feasible to leave hometown for it.
