some information i would like to share, to all of us who have been called for interview; let us not raise our hopes very high. what we are selected for is a, something in between the lines of clerical and cash management, job opening. i am not cent percent sure but junior officer is supposed to be an OG-1

if i get something more i will definitely share. and of course, about the interview, one should be immaculately dressed, not too much, not too less. the interview will move about the lines of generally skimmed topics from economics, finance, our current monetary policy and of course what state bank does.

Have to appear for the interview tomorrow ... don't know what to prepare ... no clue whatsoever :oo

as you remember recently a MAP or MAAP (whatever that is) program was conducted in which graduate students from universities were picked to work at SBP-BSC regional offices. these students are currently working as OG-2's. one of my friend and few acquaintances have also been selected in the aforementioned program. my source is that friend working over there, and main purpose of stating the preamble was that the cadre OG-2 is currently not that much in need of further officers. the students who are working right now working are bound by a part contract part internship agreement, as they can leave their jobs on a week notice and total duration of their tenure is 2 years. they are not bound by any agreement to stay at SBP for the entire period.

now what i further got to know was that the position or nature of our jobs will be decided by head office. but keeping in mind the recent admission of ypips i do not think there would be much room left in the OG-2 category, while they are inducting a great number of JO's.

So as i said i am not cent percent sure what would be the nature of jobs if selected, but it would be wise not to raise our hopes too high. personally i myself am a bit taken aback by what i got to know and not that much excited for this job anymore if selected. but what options do we have in such a job market, does it really matter what one thinks or feels?
