Question Moderators/Seniors Please Respond: Departmental Permission

Hi,

Dear Moderators/Seniors,

I am asking this basic question out of some tension on my mind.

Well, is it mandatory for a person working in a Public Limited Company seek permission from the authorities? What if the company's officials are deliberately not willing to grant him permission??

I am in a permanent job at a Public Limited Company. It has no bond and I do not require age relaxation. In fact, I believe my current job does not entitles me for age relaxation as it is not a proper government institution.

I intend to appear for CSS 2013 and only need to prove that I am working there. You know some professional issues, bosses being personal and deliberately not granting permission etc. I have appeared in 2012 but then, I was in a Private Multinational bank, hence permission was not needed then.

Now, under this situation, do I require their permission or I can I simply write my organization's name down and appear without their permission??

Please reply at your earliest as your advice have always been valuable for me

If you mention your current job in CSS-2013 Exam Form then they will ask for Departmental Permission/N.O.C, through proper channel not only give you pay protection but also its a clearance from your department that if you are selected then will be relieved. If you don't require age relaxation then you can conceal this job by not mentioning in the form.

Furthermore, if you want to prove that you are working here then mention it in application form, before written exam or even in some cases after written exam FPSC ask for N.O.C. So you have ample time to persuade your boss. BTW your boss can't stop you to achieve your dreams legally.

Well, mine is not a proper government department, but a public limited company..... Even in that case?

Well, what if I apply being in this job and once hired, then seek NOC???

Moreover, I know that boss cannot stop me from achieving my dreams legally but illegally, he can....

then I will suggest you not to mention your job in the application form. Nothing will happen. Just prepare for exam and appear .
