The length of your paragraphs is less, do increase them about 3 lines each Your tenses are eak, most of the time you have used present tense which dictates you are afraid of using diffrenet tenses while making sentences Excellent expression but you lack maturity in building a good sentence, as you must have seen i have made you intro by your words but difference is there The very nature of your introduction is not good, try to work on intro for a while, and dont start expansion immediately without planning Your word selection is good but again you lack how to utilize them by using conjunctions and joinders Hope you got me and i want to c u improved in next expansions, whenevr you will post them... Avoid these political and common topics, write expansions on proverbial or quotation type expansions because that is a little difficult and i want to check your plan there..... Regards

"If winter comes, can a spring be far behind"
The winter and spring in this maxim symbolizes the death (fiasco) and life (triumph) respectively. Shelly very artistically explains the vicious circle of life and death. The saying actually hinted at the existential truth of the universe; a change. When winter approaches all the living beings become sluggish; the movements of birds restrict, the plants shed their leaves, the human activities minimize. Conversely, on the approach of the spring everything enlivens; the leaves and flowers once again adorn the plants, the holy songs of birds liven up the ambience and the energy of human being yet again replenishes. The day and night, the childhood and adulthood, the life and death, the rich and poor, and the incline and decline these all are the two halves of the vicious circle of life. The fact should be realized that nothing is permanent in this world and everything has its ups and downs. Adolph Hitler strived for the glorification of German race and shaken the very foundation of the world through his maliciousness, was once master of his own destiny. But law of nature can never be altered and unbridle waves of history engulfed him and the world is now better place without him. Around 1400 years before the human race was endangered by the corrupt and fierce activities, and physically and morally they were at the lower ebb of human history and destined to ruin. But Prophet (PBUH) came as a savior and introduced the golden principles of Islam and rescued the humanity from the vortex of darkness. In long and short, the maxim is the manifestation of law of the nature; a change is constant in the world. It also optimizes ones approach that one has to be hopeful for the betterment and sunny outcomes. If one can’t than it is equivalent to challenge the law of nature, which is supreme and can never alter. Last edited by Andrew Dufresne; Saturday, September 04, 2010 at 09:50 AM. |

I have given your expansion a first look and it does sound appealing. But I would advise you to please check it at par with my expansion so you better understand and find out the peculiarities.
Topic: If winter comes can spring be far behind It is very humane that feelings of pessimism are more passionate and dissolving than being optimistic in a grim situation. Humans have a bad habit of being carried away easily without foreseeing the future thus dwell in darkness and become more desperate. However one should not forget that every dark cloud has silver lining and every winter is followed by a more bright spring bringing more pleasance to environment. The light ray of hope should be searched out even if the darkness is stringent and making one blind in every walk of life whether social, political, economic and religious sphere. These days whole world is submerged under umbrella of economic winter and recession is sky high, millions of cut off has been announced by big multinational leaving professional jobless luring towards desperate line rather than keeping faith that economic spring will wash away all the hurdles with its single glimpse. The feeling of winter will occupy minds and hearts temporarily but once the cool breeze of spring starts flowing, every one will be pleased with the chirruping of birds. In addition everyone knows that all great historians and prominent personalities have burnt the mid night oil and never become obsessed and deluded with defeat rather they stick to their aim and never hands up before problems thus ultimately favored and selected by fortune and success kissed their feet. A good analogy of being hopeful in every situation can been seen from the story of great warrior Taimur, who was once sitting hopeless due to his unsuccessful attempts at enemy camps. All at a sudden he saw an ant holding his dead mate creeping through wall again and again but each time he reaches the top to cross the ridge fell behind and have to start its journey from beginning without loosing hope. It is mentioned that after ninety-nine unsuccessful attempts the ant finally cross the ridge on hundredth take. This proves a great lesson for Taimur and he adopted the same approach and takes on his voyages with more zeal and hope, thus history has seen his adventures and suggesting that if its winter someday, the same day will be dressed with spring soon but to see the dressed spring sunny day one should wait and remain hopeful.

Give all thy ears but few thy tongue.
Give all thy ears but few thy tongue
Many events induce sympathy, many actions allure an Individual's ambitions, many voices entice participation and many remarks invite emotive feelings.Human is gregarious,no doubt about that, who feels alike its fellow beings, its thoughts, feelings, perception, actions and behavioral approach are subject to change. There may come occasions demanding a rational approach together with irrational consequences.Actions which seem pragmatic and cohesive may drive a wedge among many, and participation seeming useless may bring potential changes. All these depend upon one's will of agreement and disagreement with the cause.Agreement does not mean to push the wind against odds together with those whose clandestine aims may not be fruitful. And disagreement does not mean to disengage oneself from the efforts extended for a larger good. All is about implicit faith in the matter and a soft revolutionary approach when it comes to any cause, which demand for decision making aptitude.Decision making in both of its manifestation characterizes its objectivity.Feeling like other feel is not a bad idea, but acting like others do may rank differently. It is the authentic approach for one not to follow the footsteps blindly, but it is the destructive approach to follow things without being apprised of their nature and objectivity.Meaningless would be the say when it would not have any meaning, and meaningful might be the action when it might not have any loophole. But,it is all about the dialectical capability and dithering approach of an individual.Favorable approach is to pursue what the instinct demands rather then getting on heels to the ends which appeal for their ultimate success.Better follow one's best self if not the better self.

Expansion: Give All Thy Ears But Few Thy Tongue.
Aristotle once said, “It is unbecoming for young men to utter maxims.” Interestingly every one, irrespective of his/her age wants to talk or speak, appearing to be didactic. No one is willing to listen to. People dislike being advised or dictated. They hate to follow others and love to be followed. We witness many people being long on words but short on actions. They talk like the sea but their lives are stagnant marshes. There is a barren superfluity of words in their conversation. They hardly realize the significance of words. They flagrantly overlook the fact that even the slightest misuse of words can mar and spoil their whole life, creating insurmountable problems for them. As the maxim goes, “Four things come not back-- the spoken word, the sped arrow, the past life and neglected opportunity”, everyone of us is supposed to be fully aware of the delicate nature of words we utter. A wise person always weighs his/her words before utterance, pouring them into sieve. Although intelligent people consider silence civil, it is advisable to speak at the proper time, for speaking unnecessarily at wrong time and remaining mute when speaking is required betoken the levity of intellect. Our safety lies beneath our tongue. The more words we utter, the more problems we face. Therefore, it is better to keep check on our tongue to avoid unnecessary problems and troubles. On the other hand, listening to others has its own merits. Given the fact that everyone loves to speak more, we hardly find good and patient listeners. A patient hearing to the grief-stricken people can go a long way to lessen their sorrows and relieve them of their pains and sufferings. There are number of downtrodden and oppressed people who need our sympathy and proper attention. Giving them an earnest and patient ear will help them overcome their grief and give them much-needed strength and will power to face the challenges with determination and positive frame of mind. Listening more and talking less is harbinger of wisdom and maturity, because as we grow in years, our words decrease and our thoughts ripen. Listening to seniors, elders, teachers, intellectuals and other wise people will always enhance our knowledge and widen our mental horizon. It is, therefore, imperative for us to listen more and more to imbibe and assimilate the words of wisdom and improve our knowledge to the great extent.
