Logically, man thinks by practicing all the religious obligations, he will be closer to God. He offers prayer five times a day, yet having worldly affairs going on in his mind at the same time. He fasts regularly in the month of Ramadan while rebukes a hungry beggar on his way to mosque. He embarks to perform hajj leaving his ailing parents behind. Nearness of God cannot be achieved by a mere pretense; it is gained by purity of soul. Only spiritual devotion can lead people closer to Almighty.

History abounds with several examples. Satan, once known as the most devoted angle for his countless prostrates to God, was thrown out of Heaven. His prayers could not lead him close to God. On the contrary, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai was known for his nearness to God; yet he lived on a mound far from any sacred place.

In a nutshell, it is true devotion and love which can take a person closer to God, not just his worship. God lives in the hearts of His creation. He just needs to look into himself to find God. He does not need futile worship to be near to Him. Hence, true devotion is essential for nearness of God.

It is OK to me. Keep the good work on. Quotations are ornaments; keep on beautifying your expressions with them.

ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY.

An extraordinary task requires time to complete; it is impossible to accomplish it in a blink of an eye. Success is not achieved in a day. It is achieved with true devotion and consistency with time. A dream to build a town cannot come to reality in a moment. However, a person can never succeed in gaining his goal if he does not make peace with time.

Logically, an author cannot complete his bestseller in a day. It takes him years to get to completion. Furthermore, great conquerors took ages in conquering half of the world. By bearing sacrifice of their soldiers and facing numerous hindrances, they took hold on whatever they wanted. As Napoleon Hill quotes: “Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.” Achieving miraculous goal is not like beating birds in a bucket. It is a difficult job which can only be performed with dedication and composure, not with hastiness.
History abounds with several examples. Pakistan, now a sovereign state, came into being as a result of untiring struggle of many great leaders in almost a century. Their true valor and steadfastness bore fruit in the shape of an independent state. Similarly, our Holy Prophet and his companions worked day and night in spreading the folds of Islam. Islam is not spread in half the world in a moment.

To conclude, tremendous patience with time is required to complete a task. A Herculean task cannot be carried out in a day. The more one makes haste, the more it blurs the situation. Rousseau says: “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” Hence, great works need excessive time in bearing fruitful result.

One may smile and smile, and be a villain
Human behaviour is very complex as a philosopher said "In nature a repuslive caterpillar turns into a lovely butterfly but for human it works the other way around: a lovely butterfly turns into a repulsive caterpillar'.This complexity in behaviour is added by the selfishness and envy of the people. In every day life, we come across many people with a smiling face, soft expressions and well groomed personalities. However, inwardly they may leave no stone unturned to harm us.they may do it for many reasons, they may be aware of their weaknesses as does richard, the third or edmund when they are deprived of the things they desire. They may do it at the whim of foreign hands as mir jafar or mir qasim did in the history. Lago in othello also followed a similair course of action. such people speak well and win the hearts of others with an eloquent speech. as budha said
"an insincere and evil friend is more to be feared then a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body but an evil friend will wound your mind"
Swimming in the ocean of treachery such people never lose their temper and thus, win the confidence of others. They make long term planning and take a lot of pleasure in trapping others.
Oliver stone said" never underestimate the power of jealousy and the power of envy to destroy. Never underestimate that'.Smile is an art and such individuals have a mastery over it. So beware of those with a smiling face and tainted heart.

actually i haVE TAKEN THE CENTRAL IDEA FROM A BOOK. hopefully that is not an offence but i have added quotes on my own. so plz tell me is it ok to learn paragraphs from any book?

Today, we have radio, television, computers and all gadgets that our forefathers never had and never could have thought possible. But our forefathers never had to tolerate mindless television shows and loud blaring music on radios; as hugh hoppler said
"like all tools, modern technology has produced some great moments in music and some horrors"
Our forefathers, probably had more time to talk with each other instead of like us,who spend countless hours staring at the"idiot box".On hot days,i often appreciate the invention of air conditioners. our ancestors most likely had to withstand hot seasons or at best, fan themselves with a leaf or some thing. However, we have become very dependent on the AC, especially the one in the car.On rare occasions when it malfunctions,i realize how difficuilt it can to be to sit in car without Ac.Talking of the car, it is great to whiz along the highways eating up kilometeres and reaching destination in time, but then often we are caught in traffic jams. Our ancestors would never have to experience such infuriating traffic jams.they would probably, trudge along on foot or rode a horse. They would have to put up with sore feet and dung.Which is worst? fumes or dung.
Medical care has improved by leaps and bounds. Diseases that plagued our forefathers no longer bother us.As bill gates said
"Never before in history has any invention offered so much to so many in so a short time"
Leprosy, tuberculosis, small pox, scourges of past are no longer considered a lethal threat.Alas, we experience a new threat,AIDS. our forefathers never experienced such a disease.
It is said that modern men and women live longer.Does living longer necessarily mean a better life? Living longer also means bearing more pollution, over population, unemployment and other modern ills.As karl marx said,
"Producing so many useful things results in so many useless people"
It is, thus, difficuilt to decide which era is better.Modern era has its own good points and bad points and similarly is true for the bygone ages.At times, i sincerely appreciate the modern era for its technology but at others, i feel that our forefathers led a better life.

this is a topic from 2009 paper.i am eagerly waiting for a response.

Variety is the spice of life (2009)
It is interesting to do things in different ways.Just like spices, variety adds flavour to life.As francesco petriarch remarked
"sameness is the mother of disgust, variety the cure"
Francis bacon, a famous essayist said
Nothing is pleasant, that is not spiced with variety"
Just as variety is the spice of life, it is also the essence of writing.A writer with a variety of experiences will never bore his audience.Even trivial facts may spice up writing.A writer with the reputation of monotony can no longer hold on to his audience.
People with a narrow range of interests will rarely make good dinner conversationalists, unless they come across some one with a specific interest, are more likely to bore company.Just as writers with variety in writing are more popular, dinner conversationalists with broader knowledge are most popular invitees.
Variety is the spice of life, It injects fluid of creativity into even the most barren minds.A job may be done in a number of ways. The most logical approach is to choose the best option among the available choices.Innovation is one's own way of doing a productive job.Innovation is like fresh paint splashed on the walls of creativity.
A student can also add variety to his life by taking part in extra curricular activities.Such a modus operandi would increase his interaction with people and also provide information about the therories that fail in practical world.
Thus, it may be rightly concluded that just as spices flavour food, variety too adds flavour to life.

although i have taken the central idea from dogar publishers book, but i felt a large part of it was irrelevant so i have altered it. in addition, i have used a considerably new word to my dictionary, (modus operandi). can some one please tell me if i have used it correctly?

Some grammatical and punctuation errors..
Seems you have taken many lines from Dogars Book, for your expansion lacks connectivity and logical flow..
You must write your own personal version of it, reread it, rewrite it, and after two or three rehearsals, it would be presentable enough..
Thanks.. Keep trying and keep posting..
