A SUSPICIOUS PARENT MAKES AN ARTFUL CHILD

The parents play a major role in developing the character and integrity of their children. The family is a miniature world having an effect upon the nature as well as personality of its members i.e., children, who mainly inspire from the behavior of their parents – the ruler of that miniature world. Therefore, the initial years of upbringing of children are the most important ones. Sometimes the excessive love and care of the parents become a weakness and drawback in the personality of the grown-up child. However, the opposite is also true as too much restrictions and admonitions affect the thinking of kids and make them stubborn and diehard. Similar is the case with those children whose parents always take them suspiciously and do not trust them. This attitude of parents molds negatively the individuality of rising kids, as parents do not quit their doubtful behavior, and for that reason, the children naturally incline towards doing such things that their parents repeatedly prohibit. Such kind of relationship instinctively teaches the offspring how to trick their parents and they learn to do anything at their own pleasure without the knowledge of their guardians. Thus, at adolescent and later stage of life, these early years of deception and artificiality reflect upon in their personalities. It is, therefore, very important for such parents not to be either too strict or too lax in their conduct towards the children; the need is to understand the nature of the baby and then develop such an attitude and atmosphere that would enhance the confidence and cultivate the personality of the child on sound footings. Otherwise, a wise one has already proclaimed the consequence that a suspicious parent makes an artful child. (285 words)

Habit is second nature

Next to natural instincts, habit has the strongest hold on human beings. Once a habit, is formed, a human being finds it almost impossible to get rid of it. Even when a human being tries his utmost to shed an old habit, he finds himself helpless. A habitual smoker cannot give up smoking even though he may formpious resolution to give it up. The same applies to the habits of gambling and drinking. We may almost say that once a man gets into the habit of gambling, he will remain a life-long partner whether it is gambling with cards or at horse-races. A habitual drinker may be able to abstain from drinking forr a couple of days but he will find the craving for liquor so strong that after a brief interval of a couple of days he wil revert to the habit. Likewise, a habitual pick-pocket, a cheat and a thief will not be able to give up their habits even after having served prison terms. The proverb is equally true of good habits. A person who has formed the habit of speaking the truth will always speak the truth although there may be temptations to tell lies. A habitual early riser will always rise early. One who has formed the habit of doing good to others will always seek opportunities to do good. A man, who is frugal by habit, will never squander money. Man is , indeed , the slave of habits. At the decisive end, It has been proved that habit is second nature. It depends upon us that we prefer good habits or flunked out.

Pen is Better than Sword

Pen is always mightier to the sword. From the inception of human being knowledge was worthy to physical strength, as humans are superior to other classes of phylum animilia on the basis of their intellectual power. Intellectual power is the capability to deal situations without using armaments and it is the outcome of meaningful utilization of pen. By peeping into our past we can see that pen has brought revolution as in 13th century when Martin Luther introduced printing and made impossible a possible.

We are living in the age of Knowledge and skills that determines the fate of nations. Those who focused their attention in developing good appetite for scientific knowledge are leading the world. Knowledge is the weapon that can never lose its worth and no one can steal it if you have. Value of pen has increased with the passage of time that leaded to the development of civilization and has opened new horizons for growth.

In the past expeditions were won on the basis of Military dominance but now human brain has introduced a new technique of playing tricks and leading the nations and that are made possible only because of pen and its timely use. We can take the example of US they are ahead of other nations on the basis of their planning and scientific development. We have witnessed that USA defeated USSR on the grounds of economic growth coupled with scientific technology and even now they are on the top by the proper use of media as Hitler did during WWII.

By turning the pages of history, we can see that Japan that is leading the world in the field of knowledge was destroyed completely in the Second World War but they started their journey from scratch and have met the apex of progress. Here it proves the power of Knowledge helped Japan to Emerge as one of the most Developed Nation of the World.

Honesty is the best policy but advertising also helps

"If you do good, you do it for yourself ,if you do evil you do it against yourself "(Holy Quran) ,almost all the organizations have been using diffrenet techniques to make stock of customers.Hanging big billboards ,using colorful ads and depicting beautiful woman holding a product in her hand. This really looks attractive to get hold of custormers but does that mean what provided is authentic ?Brand name is not built with advertising ,it is built with the quality of the product and satisfaction of the customers ,however advertising does play a ethical role of informing.Advertising helps the organization to inform the society about the existence of its product , it plays a role of persuading not forcing. It is a tool to improvise relations with customers ,build self-esteem in them and give them moral support that what they are getting is genuine and after buying the product they would not feel decepted. There are many companies who went bankrupt because they could not resist the pressure from big giants companies who have already built a blackhole in the market.Zam Zam Cola miserably failed in pakistan , one of the major factor of failing was lack of awareness of the product in the market. The company did not invest much in the advertising and the end result was a total fiasco. No matter how honest an organization is but does need to market itself and for that advertising is the key.

Need comments though it was my first attempt

Regards

SUCCESS HAS MANY FRIENDS

There is a famous saying that a friend in need is a friend indeed. Everyone here in this world likes to be from one of the successful individuals, and those who get through after severe hardship possess the glitters and glory of achievements; ultimately they become popular. Besides prominence, the authorities give those people high position and responsibilities that are the dream of a mediocre person. Moreover, family members, relatives, and friends leave no chance to praise and make them a perfect example for others to follow. With all these accomplishments, there are certain threats to them from some hidden enemies who disguise themselves as friends or any other close relation. They are the sycophants, like a snake in one's sleeves, always praising, no matter whether the person of prominence is right or wrong. The purpose of such mean and selfish people is to make the most of being a friend of the eminent personality. Finally, all their emotional and loving nature would take a U-turn when the illustrious personality dispossesses high position and status. Thus, their true face exposes itself, but alas, that time the popularity of the famous individuals would reduce to dust because of their being fond of luxury and lack of hard work; this is all because their ill conceived compliments of the toadies and bootlickers, who play a crucial role in erosion of their inclination toward diligence. Therefore, it is not always true that someone claiming himself/herself as friend must really be a friend of a high stature, but it is the success, which is truly the core reason behind the friendship. When the famous person loses its status, then such friends even do not comprehend the face of their previous object of worship. Someone has rightly said that success has many friends. (298 words)

Handsome is one who handsome does

It is a fact that most people from masses believe in their eyes. This weakness of humans is of great source of exploitation by imposters, quacks, and pseudo-intellectuals. Either these fraudulent people do not have required skills, qualifications, experience or if they possess required credentials, they are not up to the mark. A quack would act as if a professional doctor; pseudo-intellectual may behave as if the modern day Socrates; or an imposter would copycat like his/her target professional. Moreover, even knowing that they are duping people, the height of their hubris is more than Mount Everest. For hiding the false propaganda, they will have to tell more than hundred lies over lies. Nevertheless, truth cannot hide itself for long; one day the exposé of their false claim and garb gets debunked and they will have to be ashamed. Contrary to this, real professionals do not need to speak from their polished faces, get-ups, verbose speeches, or shoddy manners. Their professional ability would cripple the tallest of the tallest arrogance of the fraudulent. As their talent, proficiency, and experience -- although non-material in nature -- would be like a strong fortress of their defense. To write a prescription, they do not need a white-coat; or to write a masterpiece, they do not need self-boosting. What they do is to work for the benefits of others without any greed for praise as well as reputation. Indeed that is all their quality that differentiates them from the fakes. Given these facts, handsome is one who handsome does. (253 words)

“Foreign Aid” — is it a blessing or a curse?

In the short-run, foreign aid is a blessing; but in the long-run if not properly utilized then it is a curse. Although, developing countries needed funds for a boost in their economic and developmental work, but a prolong dependency over foreign support would serve as an abuse. They may become static in their efforts for self-reliance. In addition, whatever the funding by the so-called developed countries, the fact is that the funds are always have some hidden terms and conditions; for example, the aid-giving country may ask for its political support in international fora or it may be a tactic to indirectly influencing the domestic policies of the aid-receiving country into its favor. Besides, the organizational efficiency of the aid-receiving country plays a crucial role in aid utilization. As corruption and red-tapism are the main hurdles in the proper distribution and monitoring of the benefits of aid. However, in cases of natural catastrophes, even the developed countries are not self-sufficient; they may require material as well as non-material support sometimes provided by developing countries. Foreign aid in emergency scenario is a blessing for the developing countries. For instance, the relief provided by international community for the October 8, 2005, earthquake victims in Pakistan has alleviated the sufferings of the people to some extent. Nevertheless, news occasionally appears regarding mismanagement and corruption in part of the government. Hence, foreign aid, although laden with hidden agenda, is a blessing until or unless the receiving country utilizes it in a well-organized and professional manner. Otherwise, foreign aid would be a curse. (258 words)

Conscience is God’s presence in man

The only thing that differentiates a man from animal is conscience. Since animals have emotions, organized groups, division of labor, desires, and even some intelligence, but man is superior to them because of his ability to decipher what is right and what is wrong. Based on this blessing of God, he would be able to earn for himself the Hell or Paradise. God is the greatest of the greatest in conscience and He is not forgetful of the goodness for His people. Moreover, God has never done injustice with anything in this universe. Indeed, God has bestowed such quality in man and made him independent in his every act. If man utilizes such quality for right and avoid wrong then definitely he would be able to earn a life after death in paradise, else the hell would be his real abode. For instance, a conscientious man would never budge for the cause of justice, righteousness, honesty, and goodness; and all these qualities are the glimpse of the light of the God in man. Therefore, this quality alone would decide for the own benefits of humanity. If there were no conscience, there would be no civilization. Animal instinct would guide man and render him a wild animal. In fact, the world would become a jungle where man would utilize all his intelligence and abilities lacking consciousness for fulfilling desires. To conclude, conscience is close to Godliness and God's presence in man. (240 words)

A thing of beauty is a joy forever

Flowers would die; weather would change; people would leave; colors would fade; but the moments of ecstasy would never evanesce out of memory. Likewise, an object of creation with extreme love, devotion, and dedication would not only captivate and delight the creator throughout life but also mesmerize and fascinate the coming generations. No wonder then later on such innovation and conception be called the wonders of the world. People - from youngest to the oldest - never tire of honoring and adoring the creativity of the artist and the idea of creator behind the marvelous and magnificent design. For instance, Shah Jahan constructed Taj Mahal with extreme emotion and affection in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, whom he loved too much. The design, construction, charm, and beauty of this marvelous architecture are still enthralling not only the individuals but also nations. Whoever happens to see it, never forgets the experience and joy; the white splendor of majestic building is rekindling the love of Shah Jahan in the hearts and minds of the world. However, this wonder of the world is gradually degrading in its beauty due to environmental pollution. Moreover, people are saying that one day the beauty of Taj Mahal would reduce to dust and this monument representing the love of Shah Jahan would vanish from the minds of people. Nevertheless, the creation of Taj Mahal has made a glorious history and no weather can diminish the inkling that would live as evergreen in the thoughts of nations. To conclude, a thing of beauty is a joy forever. (261)

Learn to walk before you run.

Behind the glitter and glory of every famous person lie the toils of dark and silence nights. A few people look into the hidden mystery behind the success of the celebrities or elite personalities. For reaching such an exceptional status, the big shots had to go through severe hardships, for instance, to become perfect in acting, the actor had to do many mistakes and even face failures; to obtain impeccable writing ability, the writer must have written extensive material. Moreover, all those initial days of experience requires a guidance and inspiration. It is after such laborious efforts the demigod of the people rise to the heaven of glory and fame. However, some naive enthusiasts neglect this rule of thumb and they want to get that height of fame without sweating in any efforts or bearing upon any sufferings. Sometimes, such people use unfair means for having a position; for example, one who steals the written work of other writer and places his or her name in byline is responsible for the crime of plagiarism. One day, the plagiarist is punished upon revelation of the stolen work on public. The reason behind this misdeed is the utter lack of disposition for getting expertise in the relevant discipline or skill. It is the experience as well as initial days of thorough practice that is needed for a bright and successful status. The rest is nothing but merely a matter of collecting praises. Therefore, one must learn to walk before running. (248 words)
