Topic is the Pak geo strategic importance: a blessing or misfortune. Let's say my opinion is that it's a blessing So I will try to justify it. But there are few factual things that refer that it's also a misfortune. Of course, I will give more focus on the "blessing" thing but will also briefly discuss "misfortunes" if they can't be ignored |

@ Tashfeen Alam
Let me ask a couple of questions. Keeping in mind the Open and Close ended topics, should one select the topic related to Literature? In 2014, the example is : Literature as a great cultural artifact. If one opts this type of Essay, what important things should be kept in mind while writing, argumenting and discussing it? What are the main areas that should be covered in such essays? What are the main characteristics of such essays?

You have said that "Opting odd topics only to impress the checker" can be a reason for failure, but isn't it obvious that one can get more marks in a topic which is opted by fewer people ? Because easier and common topics which are opted by majority of people have nearly same thoughts and repetition of ideas which make it difficult for examiner to judge and also increases the competition, as we know that in the end only 1/5 person pass the essay.

@tashfeen
brother, i have a query. Let suppose we have a topic (e.g Great Nations win without fighting) on which we can't answer in 100% yes or 100% no. I mean, some examples goes in favor of this statement while others goes against this topic. So what strategy should a candidate adopt? Someone advised me to either go in favor or against the topic. But in such topics, i get confused. Is there any midway? if yes, then please briefly explain. How would you have attempted this topic in exam?It would be great if you briefly write introduction for this topic. Regards. |

@odd topic Checker won't fail you if its opted by most of the candidates. It's your INTRODUCTION that decides your fate Quote:
I can't write the whole para but here are few lines "It depends on the prevailing situations whether great nations win with or without fighting. In some cases they win without fighting. On the other hand, rest of the time they win with fighting. To put it simple, every problem has its own solution. So, one cannot give a sweeping rule about how great nations deal to their issue" Last edited by Inerrant Inamorata; Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:03 PM. Reason: chain posts |
