I also did some preparation for exactly 2.5 months, self-study, without references, and facts and figures. it went as given below.

M absolutely numb nd shell at this. Feeling so unlucky. I have availed all css chances nd 2 pms. Aur kamyabi nahi hoe. just margin mei hamesha. Pms 2022 i was failed in essay on 30 marks. Css 2018 i failed in essay only on 36 marks.
great scores! especially in current affairs!! don't get disappointed dear. maybe Allah Pak has written something better for you. Who knows..

Will it be your second attempt??? I am thinking to skip a year too mainly due to low scores. Looks like I have to prepare all 12 subjects again. But I have other thoughts by looking at dmcs because I haven't seen a high score in subjects like sociology, environmental science, Islamiat and current affairs in which I have low marks. Why did you skip a year?

I don't think that skipping is a good option, as many subjects are targeted, as those who prepared well and those who didn't, got same marks. Four months are more than enough for a good revision. Who can give a guarantee that skipping a attempt can result in success in next year. It is very unpredictable, specially in essay, in one attempt, they give you 60 and in next they can give 0. There is no criteria.

Essay is different. There is much diversity in topics. One who can write a good essay on global warming doesn't necessarily capable of writing a good essay on digitalization.
The problem is that even if I had passed all the subjects I would have fallen short of aggregate. It means I have to secure 10, 15 marks more in each subject which of course is a lot of work and can't be done in 4 months.
