I have consulted the following books for my optionals:
Ind-o-Pak History...> S.M Ikram, Ishwari Parshad, I.H. Qureshi and K. Ali
Geography...> Sarfaraz Bajwa and Human Geography by Prof M. Anwar, A book by Jehangir Sampal
Sociology....> Only Consulted Sociology by Iqbal Chaudry (Scores reflect)
Journalism....> Only Exploring Journalism by Yousaf Mirza

Well I advise that use atleast 2-3 books for Sociology and Journalism each!

I'm just left surprised that how come a guy can secure 70 marks in essay and in English grammar or composition paper, he just gets marks in 40s.. That's surprising.. How come this difference exist? I refer to the guy who topped 2009 exam!

Bro the key to good score in brit history n eng lit is great command on the subject. The background knowledge coupled with a nice way of attempting will help you a lot. So go for some really good books, get your concepts right and use your knowledge with tact while attempting the paper. You will surely succeed.

Thanx for the inspiration .. I m also planning to opt Literature but unlike u i have not mastered the subject, infact i have to take BA next year and then CSS in 2012 InshaAllah .. So what i wanted to know was that if i have a deep interest in Literature and more than 1.5 years for prep, should i go for it .. ?
