Default Psychology Preparation

Hi Yousafzaii I am an old student of psychology. Besides, I,ve been teaching psychology to masters classes since 2004. So psychology remained an easy subject for me. Yea, this subject is a bit different from the other social sciences. In fact, it is a part of behavioral science rather social science. Many topics are part of psychology which have been derived from hard sciences. You need to draw diagrams and use scientific jargon.
If you have interest and aptitude for psychology, you can prepare it efficiently and can grab good score in it. You can use either one of these books for paper I:
1. Understanding psychology by Feldman
2. Psychology and life by Zimbardo
3. Psychology by Wyne Weiten
4. Psychology by David Myers
The course contents of paper II relating to child development would be covered by the above mentioned books. Choose only one or two of the above books.
For Abnormal and Clinical Psychology, consult:
1. Abnormal Psychology by Ronald J. Comer
2. Abnormal Psychology by Neale and Davison
Use one book from the above mentioned for abnormal portion.

Regards.

Default Injustice of highest level: CSS is alll about luck..

Almost everybody has scored more than 150 marks in Islamic History. Its ridiculous and painful to point out that one of my associates got failed in aggregate in 2009 but he scored 174 in this subject without much preparation. Were there questions of mathematics in history paper that the examiner gave huge marks in it? hamara kia qasoor hai iss ko na rakhnay ka.

This is injustice of highest level.FPSC should adopt percentile based system in which no body gets advantage the way present system gave to lucky fellows who had islamic history.

Many hardworking and competent candidates are out of the race of allocation because they had non-scoring subjects.

I am thinking to challenge the present system of recruitment of css in the superior judiciary for making level playing field for all the candidates and to make css exam a competitive exam in its real sense.

I am disappointed.

Dear Nazik
My strategy in CA was to read a lot of material from different websites on current important issues.
i would suggest you to make a list of important topics and get 3-4 articles on those from the dawn, yale global online and other sources.
it will help you present your views in a different way than the most of candidates who buy a book like contemporay affairs and try to be analytical a bit.
Regards

Dear
there is a huge difference between scoring 130 plus and scoring 170 plus in a subject like history.it is unprecedented.

Islamic history used to be a very discouraging subject in previous years i.e 1999 to 2007, this is my perception, and majority candidates could get 80 to 110 marks only. Even in those days some of the candidates managed to get 140 and 150. Point being that hard work pays, not all of the candidates who opted for m.history this year could get 175. I love this subject and you can c dat i ve managed to get respectable totals whether it (m.history) was encouraged or not.

What is your opinion about following two marks sheets:

http://www.cssforum.com.pk/197482-post7.html

Whose efforts have cleared Islamic History papers? candidates' or examiner's? I don't see any effort from candidate side.
