Default MY Optional subjects in C.E 2011
1.Indo Pak History...
2.English Literature...
3.Sociology...
4.Journalism...

Well, Besides my PhD in English Linguistics, i appeared in 2011 exam with a preparation of 50 days. I Opted English Litearture as it provided a cushion for saving my time to study other optional subjects. I enjoyed the papers and appeared without having any mental constraint and pressure. All of my papers went well. I only had a little problem in paper 2 of Indo pakistan otherwise that was a satisfactory attepmt keeping in view the time i devoted to the preapration. Moreover, In my last attempt i fell short of 13 marks in the aggregate. All my papers were cleared. I scored 65% marks in my English Literature paper. Indo pakistan paper 1st in 2010 exam was a nightmare for the people who didnt have thorough study of the subject. Same was the case with the Journalism paper in terms of Marks i scored in that.But, I Am optimistic abt the exam this year. Nevertheless, CSS exam is quite hard to be anticipated accurately and justly.

my optional subjects were
1.indo pak history
2.chemistry
3.sociology
3.journalism
it was my first attempt so no idea about their marking standard...i tried my best to attempt all papers well
compulsory se ,current affair,pak affair....subjective was good..objective so so
eds....subjective+objective very good..
essay,precis,islamiat...normal..(mostly candidates fail in these.is liye dar sa laga rehta he :p)
optional se chemistry 2nd paper...very good 85%
chemistry 1st paper....
indo pak history..subjective well objective..blunders..:p
journalism...objective buri hui ..subjective bs normal
sociology..subjective+objective good

i hope for the best and pray for result

My Optional subjects were as under:

1. History of Pakistan & India
2. English Literature
3. Muslim Law & Jurisprudence
4. International Law

It seems apt to mention that I had taken the CE-2010. I was unable to get the requisite 50% aggregate marks though I passed all the subjects, and fell short of 27 marks. Islamic History & Culture proved to be catastrophic. So, naturally, I altered it and opted History of Pakistan & India.

History of Pakistan & India went well. Paper I was better than Paper II. I was really disappointed with my English Literature paper. Last year I scored 118 in this sub and was hoping to at least retain the same rep. However, I think I couldn't do up to par. Muslim Law & Jurisprudence was a much better attempt than the previous one. International Law gave good marks previously and this time I hope to get good marks too.

I had decided that whatever may be the result, I'll not avail my 3rd chance for CSS. I appeared in the back-to-back exams with this thing in mind. I am hopeful for a very good news. InshaALLAH.
