USMAN KHALID :
An inane query from a brother who is now seeing the real world of our dreams : is. IRS or PCS more preferred.
PS : PCS is my top preference, but I doubt GBFATA would find any PCS seat. Isn't it injustice

Brother, seats are allocated according to provincial quotas. Obviously provinces with smaller share of quota can't have seats in every occupation group. This is why there may not be any seat available for some particular group. AJK also faces this situation every year because it has 2% quota and normally 4-5 seats are reserved for AJK; thus allocating seat from every group is not possible in this case.

Suppose two candidates have qualified from GB-FATA with merits 60 and 61 respectively, and if 1st preference of both candidates is PSP, then one has to sacrifice?

Yes, if there is 1 PSP seat only then one with the upper merit number will get PSP and the other will get his 2nd preference. (if seat against that preference is available!)

total eight or nine seats besides the leftover seats from previous years

So, turi, should we consider the list of top ten candidates from GBFATA closed on you ie merit no. 412?
or should we expect surprises?

and its mere a speculation but do not expect PSP, PCS,CTG,MLCG seats this year. (barring left-over MLCG,if any)
2 DMGs are expected, one FSP, 2 IRS .
