The above all are merely estimates and therefore, must not be reliable. Comments, criticism and corrections are welcome...

I prepared a more or less same pattern of allocation. Accept for giving more IRS seats. Giving merit no 260 mariam alvi IRS. I think after her, seats for PAAS will start. Moreover, Hassan Farhaj will not join he is already serving in Audit n accounts. Maam maria Mustafa is also in audit n accounts but she will go with IRS. I have heard there are no seats for information group and CTG. Only one or 2 carried over might be there that too, women seats. (read here on the forum only)

P.S.I appreciate your efforts sir. Had it been in our hands we would have announced the allocations by now. Lazy FPSC

Government Jobs always take time and we have waited for so long that few more months or weeks do not matter.

By the way, how many IRS seats did u calculate and how? I simply applied the formula and got 3 seats of IRS from 40 total.
will the list of allocations have the name of seniors, whether they join the group or not??
Suppose, any senior has vounteered for IRS or PAAS, or any other group in the preference form, but is not willing to join the group and is content with the present group, will the list of allocations contain his/her name? I think the vacancy must be used for someone lower in merit? Isn't it?

Bilawal Abro will get allocated on the Pakistan merit. So we can expect the merit starting from the second person here in urban. Just giving it a benefit of doubt I calculated more seats of PAAS. Though i know this time we have no carried over seats as well as only one new vacancy for Audit. Last year Hira Sheikh i guess got Audit, though she was 27 in urban, on women quota. No such chance this time, so the only hope we have is the OMG

I, like you, calculated 3 seats for IRS. again by giving the benefit of doubt gave Merit no 260 IRS on women quota, if the vacancy is there.

As per the information of a senior officer, two lists will be announced after the allocation list. The people who will not confirm their joining in respective groups will definitely be considered out of the list. This will be the case of 4 people in the list who will not join most probably being in better groups. Yes, the same vacancies will be used for others who are at lower merit numbers
The list will not show the officers already in service who have opted to join their new department, or who dont wish to join...So we can merely speculate all these possibilities.

P.S, its Maria Mustafa, and I am still not sure, (if so allocated) i would join IRS or not :/ So, keep that in your calculations as well!

Moreover, I have a reason to believe that merit no. 115 Ifrah Tariq Roll no. 4602 has FSP as first choice and Shagufta Mumtaz merit no 130 as PCS .. . Some more Food for thought !

Don't know about Maheen Hassan Merit 133.. But i just checked the viva schedule and she appeared for viva from LAhore centre with roll no. 7165. other roll no.s were also in series like 7163, 7174 from lahore centre. It seems she is from Punjab.




Iffrah Tariq can get foreign service if its her 1st preference. If there is customs seat for Sind Urban, which is less likely, merit no. 130 or 128 will get it...

Yes i also heard merit no. 137 syed mohammad ali is not joining IRS...
So we can assume merit no. 137, 226, 297, 347 will not opt for new groups and lower merit no. will get chance.
and its "marium alvi" on merti 260. who will join whichever group it is however merit no. 168 Ma'am Maria Mustafa may or may not join new group, so we will have to wait to be more certain.

Apart from carry-forward seats, how many new seats are offered every year in each province? Is there a fixed number of seats offered or is it variable?

New Seats for every province depend upon the total vacancies announced by Establishment division, and then according to fixed percentages seats are allotted to the provinces. e.g Sindh Urban gets 7.6 % seats from the total. If total vacancies for Pakistan are 198, then Sindh Urban will get 15 seats. Vacancies are generally announed after the final result of competitive exam and there is not much difference in total new vacancies from year to year.

merit no. 1st, 3rd and 5th over all pakistan has PAS as first choice. SO Bilawal abro will use sindh Urban quota for pAS unless there are more than 3 seats for open merit, which is again less likely.

Thanks a lot brother. What do you mean by Establishment division here? I know, it seems like a stupid question, but I really don't have an exact idea what does Establishment division mean!
