As I said earlier, this book is widely used for this paper and is useful too. So, So, check the syllabus list and cover those topics that are included in this book. For the remaining topics, you can consult Net and Newspaper Columns related to P.A. There are certain topics which are missing in this book of Dr Sultan Khan. As the syllabus has been modified a little, we have to consult other sources too. If I find any other good book, I'll surely let you know.

Very good combination but entensive and exhaustive study is required to succeed with these subjects. For criminology you might get some trouble to get bookish material for study.
I suggest you to check either Environmental Science or Gender Studies as both of these are comparatively less exhausting than public add or criminology.
Anyway you know your abilities, interest and inclination better than me.
J can only wish you a good luck.

Nice combination, I have a similar one except History of Pakistan and India but it's good for you since you have read many books on it. Geography is a nice subject but be careful as it could be a little lengthy, smart study would be a good option. I might go for these combinations

IR
Physics
Criminology
Geography

or

IR
Public Administration
Environmental Sciences
Criminology
Geography

What do you think?

Have you thought of Physics, Environmental Sciences and Town Planning?? I am having a hard time between choosing or dropping Physics, it seems interesting but as you know, we engineers don't study it in great depth so I don't just want to get stuck with 90-110 marks whereas if Public Admin & Environmental Sciences work, it could fetch around 120+ combined. Public Admin seems like a nice subject, we just need to read about it. As far as Criminology is concerned, yes, we might not get many books for the local context but there is plenty of stuff on the internet and FPSC has given some good websites. Moreover I think books for the new subjects will arrive in the market in 2-3 months hopefully.

both the combinations are good but personally i think the second one is better because the syllabus of physics is pretty lengthy and science are good scoring only if you have a good understanding of it. me being an electrical engineer i don't think physics is a good choice but it all depends on your interest and background in this subject. By the way whats your background in physics and i have a 50 50 mind between geography and environmental science waiting for guidance from senior members.

I'm an electronics engineer and have some physics background. But sometimes the paper of physics is easy in css exams and sometimes it is hard, problem is, the kind of physics we study in engineering is a bit different and surface level than the syllabus for css exams. I have a lot of interest in Physics but I am not confident in the maths and numerical section and hard theories etc so I might drop it and take Environmental Sciences+Public Admin. At the end of the day, we have to get more marks instead of going for an interesting subject which might be dangerous and low scoring. I am still not sure though!
