either doctors are eligible according to new policy of master
hello this is doctor sajjad. i am preparing for css examination for 2011, i saw threat that some policy change is being in consideration regarding eligibility for candidates, some were mentioning master degree and some were mentioning 16 year of education to be eligible for css 2011.
i am holding bachelor degree of docter (m.b.b.s) this is equivalent to the 17 year of academic life but not equal to the masters degree as it is of bachelors degree so in term of master i am supposed to be not eligible for css but in term of 16 year i am eligible. so can you please explain me that where i am standing either eligible or not eligible. those who have relevant information please guide me, i am in curious situation please help me out of this quagmire. dr.sajjad |

Dear all,
I am tired to write so much coz I am typing on mobile keypad so I 'll not bother you all. But, a simple thing I want to add in this discussion is the feeling that I observed while opting for optional subjects that one should be *multi-dimensional* to competd in css where 16 years education refers us towards specialization in 1 subject. Moreover, the jobs for which, my brother is mentioning, the critera is MA are the jobs where there is no need of training and leadership gutts, whereas for css there is a genuine need of these. Best regards

kindly visit the following link (serial no 18) MBBS is equivalent to masters degree as per FPSC updated 26-05-2010 & HEC. Thus you are eligible even if the masters degree condition is applicable. http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/we...5-2010_%20.pdf thnx best regards, Noman ! |

First of all, I wanted to make it clear that if FPSC would announce age policy and tag along with 16 years of education, it does not mean doctors or engineers need to do masters. For their degrees are already 17 and 16 years respectively. One thing that government has made certain is that Bachelors degree offered by many institutions in Pakistan are now of 4 years. So automatically it becomes 16 years of education. And if FPSC is serious to float on this proposal, it would not be implemented in 2011. It would implement in 2012 or 2013. So you are at safer end by any means. As far as hearsay of banning doctors and engineers is concerned, it is not practicable for CSS is a competitive exam. Its an open competition. Compete with doctors and engineers and defeat them in this race. Regards, Engr. Shoaib Awan Assistant Engineer (Production) Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd(OGDCL) Islamabad.
