I have read contents of Chris brown , his book is recommended by FPSC, but I could not get along with his writing style.

I am not relying on any particular book, I am consulting three books and using internet too.

During my M.A, I have never been advised to consult local writer's books. Reason, because my teacher wants me to study latest developments and terminology in the field of I.R; moreover those books upgrade your knoweldge about the changing landscape of IR.

We both have common strategies. If you wish, I can upload the contents of eleven books from the books recommended by FPSC. It would be very beneficial to all new aspirants.

@ Abdul Mateen Sindhu and Anila26:

Carry on the discussion in one thread. Don't be posting the same in both this one and in the 'Contents of prakash chandra's book' one.

I would suggest IR by Joshua Goldstein, Prakash Chandra's book of IR, Ikram Rabbani, Palmer and perkins.

First, everyone should concentrate on one book policy through which one will be able to understand the basic concept of IR and its dimensions. Its my opinion.

Exactly, but the problem arises IR paper demand critical analysis not crammed topics.Furthermore, past papers predict that papers setters are tentative of simple questions rather focus on merging theories with current or past happenings. I'm also going with one book concept.

I have started my preparation from the Foreign Policy portion and am using Goldstein.

At the same time I have read the book Zone of Crisis(Pakistan and Afghanistan part) and am reading 'The Warrior State' by T.V. Paul.

In this way, I am sticking to one book to cover the syllabus and at the same time reading books related to Pakistan by international authors.
