I have bought two book( other than pohna) namely:

1. Pashto Urdu bol chaal written by Khan abdul kareem khan, publisher Sabir press Lahore.

2. Pashto Urdu bol chaal by Amaanat khan Arif, publisher Usman publication.

Tell me seniors, are these books good for basic leanings???

These books can be helpful only in learning Pushtu language, if you are a beginner in this language then you can start from these books and then switch to POHANNA . also for mcqs you can consult a book named as " da pakhtu maroozi sawaloona" by shafeeq uz zaman "

Default VetDoctor & other senior members here
Would it be wise to select Pashto for CE-14? I'm in a dilemma regarding subject selection. Pashto feels easy yet the scoring trend discourages me. Public Admn seems interesting but I've a feeling it might take longer than Pashto to prepare.
My other optionals are : Arabic, IHC, Journalism. Lastly what exactly is the reason for the low score? Is it the syntax? inadequate info of the relevant topic?

If you feel that you can prepare pashto better than Public Ad then go for Pashto. forget about the scoring trend.
All you need to do is to study the subject thoroughly. Don't take it too lightly. Reason behind low scores in Pashto is that candidates take it too lightly and just memorize few verses(ashaars).
You need to practice writing of Pashto sentences, which will enable you to write pure pashto in paper. Most candidates often write urdu alphabets instead of Pashto.
