brother..disaster management has become a science now...internationally there r four steps to manage.
1..mitigation
2.preparedness
3.response.
4.recovery.
first two are concerned with pre disaster management and other two post disaster management..pak govt,s performance is poor in post disaster management and v poor in post disaster management.
this was da v basic thing in that particular essay..one more thing mitigation and preparedness walk side by side...

brthr, i went for THE TIME WE R LIVING IS THE WINTER OF THE WORLD. can it b justified to mention all the adversities whch ths generation z facing.nuclear threat.terrorism.war for resources.global warming.floods,earthquakes etc.clash of civilizations.

yup this is exaclty what i wrote. I wrote about wars, religious conflicts, intolerance, economic disparities, green house effect, extermism, class conflicts and yes i did add a touch of green house effect and global warming. Because to me it did not look like a global warming essay but it was of a more general type

Thanks for your input DrValentino. But if you focus on just above four points without leading the examiner through a thesis which you build, then compliment it, the effects of your topics on society. Your essay will end up on three pages.

This was almost the same essay as of Natural Resources and Mismanagemnt in Pakistan and my cousin have taken the stance which I have while attempting this essay, he was successful in 2010 This time they have twisted the topic towards disaster management (50%) and govt preparedness (50%).

I am positive and hope that we will get through the biggest hurdle of css i.e. essay paper.

i m not much confident about my essay because my essay was spreading on 17 pages including 4 pages of outline.
and in the end i hurriedly and mistakenly wrote the words of essay i.e approx 1200.
it is requested to all active members to ward off my anxiety by giving precious comments over my outlines as a whole.

I chose the topic Pleasures of reading and wrote about 2800 words on this topic but now I am observing that no one else has attempted that topic.
someone told me that such topics are not awarded with good marks as it is related to literature and not to some serious political issue. Is it true ?
