A lot has been done by the government. I am not defending them at all. I am just telling you that since, you are not working in the concerned government department hence you are blind of the policies and measures being taken against recurring floods.

I had been a part of National Disaster Management Plan by the Planning Commission's working group on climate change in 2007. They are working and even experts were appointed from all over the world then.

These are the devastating and inevitable consequences of climate change... which no one can handle ... no one in the world.. Even China, USA and India are struggling against climate change... So it would not be a sensible thing to shout against the management all the time!

some causes of flood in pakistan
1. global warming and climatic changes
2.siltation of canals and dams
3.insufficient number of dams and barrages
4. outdated metereological department of pakistan and it is unable to forecast the rain beyond 3 to 4 days.
5.nonserious attitude of government and blam game strategy
6.negligence of National Desaster management authority.
7. deforestation
8.excess water from india during monsoon season.

Default Flood.. Drat!

Dams are not permanent solution to floods..
Embankment of Indus river and proper maintenance of canals will help a lot.. For example if we hold water in dams then what about the rise of sea level which has eroded thousands of acres of land and still going on, and its increasing temperature which tigers temperature in surrounded areas and heatstroke.. unscheduled rains are also interconnected with it. Disasters occur when natural phenomenon is disturbed.. So the nature of rivers is not to be hold..
Let It pour into the sea, obviously temperature of sea will decrease, consequently the climate disturbance will become normal by natural process.

it is due to mismanagement, india is obviously a hostile, so what else we can expect from them, but we can make dams and tackle the disasrous situation easily.
