Default how can you say this?

Dear,
I have seen a lot of examples that some of senior officers force their lower subordinates to do this which is called "the collecting of monthly". In clerical staff, in offices and different branches, seniors are using their juniors to take bribe, monthly, fees( mithai) from other junior policemen for doing their legal works.its how, if a policeman is forced to give fees or bribe,in a result, he is forced to take bribe.

Mr. Chishty, u r right.
I m giving the example of my teacher who is a C.S.P Officer in Quetta, but he is writing log books of vehicles nowadays because once his senior said him to take bribe and he denied. The words are "Mr. "x" tum to nahi letey magar hamein to khilao"
These are the events that are off the record.

First of all a Policeman should be honest...policemen themselves are corrupt..im telling you a real incident...my brother'car had been stloen by some unidentified persons at the time when he was offering Friday prayer...my brother wanted to lodge an F.I.R against those unidentified persons..but he told us"Policemen were reluctant to listen his complaint..they asked him"2 kilo Grapes to le k aayen pehle Manager sahib"..now tell me who gave them such orders????were their officers wanted to eat those grapes??its very funny but really a pathetic situation...Mr Chisti an honest policeman should try to change the existing system and if he cannot then he must leave this profession..

Default My Dear Maha

Dear Maha,
you haven't any experience of Police department but I myself have an experience of 10 years of my service. I have tried my best to be an hoest police officer because I belong to a religious family but the system always forced me to be a corrupt officer. There are a lot of black sheep in this system. You do not know about any of the situations which we face. I am the only person who earn for my home. so, I am unable to leave this system because I haven't any other source of earning and I am also not this in position to make this department "just honest" then what do you say??????

this is just an example of a corrupt police officer because of the culture of police department. i my self has spend my 14 years with police officers. i have so many psp friends and some rankers too. a male person knows better then a female about the police station. in fact some of the SHO are posted to a specific police station because of the high potential of bribe in that area due to organized or un organized crimes. this process is a circle flow of the bribe income and someone who is not a part of the circle of bribe and illegal activities, he is thrown out of the department. just a recent example of DSP BABAR JAMIL who is renting a two bedroom flat and doing Ph.D. is thrown out because his senior took bribe and asked him to release culprits. he refused , went to high court, ect.. but at the end he was dismissed from the job last week by the IG PUNJAB .

my answer to the original question is that if someone wants to avoid bribe, he should be appointed on such a post where there is no chance of bribe eg motorway police because the system is not corrupted there yet. but in the PSP or PUNJAB police or any other police you have to do this as the seniors are protected by the politicians

A govt. employee is not bound to obey the illegal orders of his seniors, so in this situation he should put off his cap and belt and throw it on the face of the senior (if he is bold and courgeous) and refuse. Another most polite way could be to keep a resgination request always in pocket and present it to the senior whenever, he forced you to do illegal work. Btw, i always keep one ready in my drawer, in case the need arise. and i used it once in a transfer matter and it really worked.

My dear sociologist,
I am sorry to say that you haven't understood the situation completely while giving your respective comments . My dear brother, " I think you have some other resources to earn money for yourselves or for your home" but think how can some one resign if he hasn't any other sources and he is the only person of his home to earn for his parents, brothers, sisters and other relatives of his home and if he takes the decision to resign," will it help him to change the system?????? I think its only the way to run back from the field of battle so think what we have to do? face the difficulty manfully or to run away????

It is very hard for a honest person to survive in this society specially in police department. Anyhow, those who have principles never compromise on corruption and don't care for postings. If someone has firm belief on Almighty Allah then no one can force him to be corrupt.

Qudratullah Shahab says that throughout life I got good posting and and these all were without any influence, source and 'sifarish'. He had belief in his honesty and hard work so he was a successful bureaucrat. Similarly, if someone has established principles then it would be hard to spoil that person.

But as a matter of fact honest people are denied good postings in our society and they are regarded non-flexible people. We must accept the reality and it is not the movie like WANTED "jo aik bar commitment kerli to khud ke bi nhi sunta".

Undoubtedly a honest person will face hardships in this world but he/she will be proud of his/her position on the Day of Judgment where the Just Rulers will be placed under the shadow of "Arsh".

Be just and fear not.

@ Maroof

"us rizq say muat achi, jis rizq say ati ho parwaz main kotahi"

Bhai, i am not a landlord, but i do believe that "Rizq" is not in the hands of your seniors but in the hands of Allaha. By quiting such "gandi nukari" one will not die of stravation as there are many other avenues available for a honest person to earn livlihood.
Unless you would not adopt the behaviour i mentioned above, they would continue poking you until one day you would say ....... OK as all doing this why not me ?
