Why Colonel Imam killed?
After watching the following video you will feel sympathy for the veteran Col. Imam who is seemingly an aged person. I remember the instructions of the Holy Prophet PBUH when he specially instructed the Muslim Army no to kill children, women and aged people who can't fight. What kind of Islam it is, despite the fact that he was a staunch Muslim.
The govt. also turn deaf ears over his appeal, I really felt ashamed of our nation who could not rescue an aged person, who served the country in good faith and was part of the proxy war in Afghanistan (perhaps) in good faith. |

yes our sympathies are with his family.every death leaves some one gloomy every death takes away with it some people you really love, you really like.
death of an old man,an innocent child,a budding young man leaves us sad. This particular man was an army man.the only reason he was killed was non payment of ransom of 5 million.our government did nothing to pay the ransom.these people released a foreign journalist simply becaz they paid the ransom.our government did nothing concrete to get him released. now they are demanding 2 million for body hand over.what Islam they are serving.they are just for money and nothing else.money and only money is their agenda to farther their nefarious activities. becaz now he was useless to them.American's used him and threw him away. people in Taliban etc accused him of being a middle man b/w army and Taliban.Attempting some kind of reconciliation.Or maybe he is a CIA agent. They thought may be he is a very important man so why not arrest him and put forward their demands. But demands being not accepted they killed him at the end. but now some people are saying that he died of cardiac arrest in captivity. don't know what exactly happened to old man? |

I have met this man and I found him a true muslim, true patriot, strict in nature, keen observer and very intelligent. He was famous in army circles due to his very important role in the Afghan war and close ties with Taliban. Government just not took any steps to release him. Perhaps because of this that he was of no use to them now. Anyhow, May his soul rest in peace!
Regards,

Whatever he was in your views, I just know one thing that he was a committed soldier.
He did serve Army with excellent devotion and made his career distinct as you can have pride. If you guys disagree with the move of Government at that time (in 1980s), you cannot hold him accountable for that. His doubted death that still needs confirmation arise a series of questions: What could be the myth of Colonel's adventure with British Journalist and his fellow ? Who did kidnap him ? Could Taliban kill him - godfather of Taliban ? Is his death a failure of ISI ? Is there any involvement of international spy agencies ? What does it mean to Pakistan to lose such an important asset at this crucial time, when US is about to leave the region again ?

who will get benefit from his killing?
Well, obeviously he was a good Mujahid who struggled for the protection of Muslims, but with due respect to all
> It is not established that he is kidnapped by Taliban. > Nor does this is yet proved that any body killed him in abduction. As there are the news of cardiac arrest as well. > Its very eminent that he has a strong relations with the Mujhaideen, and No Mujahid can kill an innocent, let alone a synpethiser of Islamic Cause. > Now another verey important point is that who will get the benefit from his death? whether Taliban/Mujahideen or some one against them. Clearly Taliban have nothing to gain from his death. They will not only loose one of there best fellow, but also it will be against their cause and Islamic Teachings. But on the contrary, anti Jihadi elements, can gain from this alot, like defaiming Taliban by portraing as they are doing right now, that Taliban have even killed their own fellow, Taliban are just assasins who just want to gain money and they can even kill any one for ransom. (Their goal and cause is Money and not Islam), inflicting and rising rifts among Mujahideen over the matter, and also persuading Muslims to withdraw their sympathese with the Mujahideen. Also one very important issue, why the abductors killed the both Islamic Minded people among the three abductees, they just released the BBC's Journalist, but killed the two Islamic Minded, Pakistan Loving and helpers of Mujahideen. Y...? will it serve the cause of Mujahideen?? Certainly Not, but will help those acting against Mujahideen, Islam and Pakistan. Last but not the least, If some say that Taliban has abducted them for ransom, then just to make it clear there are many other sources of funding, and if even they had abducted (for instance) then they would have kept them instead of killing as negotiations were in progress. Lastly, we all should condem the attitude of authorities over the issue, they just did nothing or too little for the release of the departed Colonel. At the End, May Allah Kareem Bless the departed soul, and grant patience to the aggrieved family, and Bless Islam and Mujahideen Great Victory over the enemies of Islam and Muslims. Ameen. |
