Default Killing of three girl students in stampede

It was a very sad incident in the history of Lahore when three innocent girl students of Punjab Collage were crushed to death after they were trying to come out of Cultural Complex and a stampede took place. Apart from the cause of stampede that killed them, the following questions come in my mind that need answers;

1- what was the need of taking thousands of girls to a musical concert by a group of collages that claim to provide quality education in private sector and its owner has religious leanings and has affiliation with a religious party ?

2- Why adequate security was not arranged by the collage administration inspite of the fact that seven thousands girl students were going to attend the concert ?

3- Why the concert was arranged for seven thousand girls at a place with capacity of five thousand ?

4- Is it true that this group often arrange such functions for girl students just to promote their collage among girls ?

These are the questions that come in mind after this sad incident. Plz share your views to shake the conscience of all those who are responsible for this sad incident. May the souls of departed girls rest in peace and may Allaha grant the patience to the bereaved families. (Ameen)

It was a sad incident indeed and must be condemned. I am so anti Punjab Collage because of such activities. Every other day they arrange such functions , their annual dinners, golden nights etc are the hub of immoral and vulgar activities. they are leading the youngsters in a wrong direction for the sake of money.

@ Call for change

That is what comes in my mind as well. They forget everything when it comes to make money through these functions. Shame on Punjab group of collages !

What in the world does religion have to do with the incident? It was an unfortunate accident that occurred simply due to too many people in a small space. So yes it has something to do with negligence of the organizers, but it has no relation whatsoever with religion.

Or are you suggesting such an incident wouldn't have occurred if the same audience would have been there to attend a religious ceremony like a milad or something?

@ alyshoa

The religion came in the discussion because the owner of Punjab Collage is a former member of a religious student organization (Jamiat) which by force stops musical functions in collages and consider it as a "HARAM" activity. But when it comes to promote his own collage and make money through education, the same activity becomes "HALAAL"

I think religion has a very very important place in our all activities. Being Muslim we have to judge and mind our each and every action in the light of teachings of Islam.
And in this incident too, Islam comes because administration of the Punjab Group of Colleges' has not only failed to properly organize this vulgar and Un- Islamic Activity, but more important than that was their negligence towards their duty to observe and obey teachings of Islam and also to promote and inculcate good moral and religious values in their students.
And provide a good Muslim educated youth for the development of Pakistan and Muslims.

So Islam is the benchmark for judging our each and every action.

Moreover, about the past of Mr. Mian Aamir Mahmood, that is not important now, because he has left JAMIAT way back and in the recent past he was associated with Pervaiz Musharraf.
So respected Alyosha, Such incident could occur in some other gathering for Islamic purposes but as I stated earlier that the major negligence is towards Islamic teachings.
Though death of three girls was itself a very sad incident which should not have happened, but in my view, these poor girls are dead now but what about the thousands of other girls and boys who are studying there and will die slowly spirtualy...???
I hope I will be able to clarify the matter.

If you think going to a concert is un-islamic, vulgar and the equivalent of a spiritual death, that's your opinion and with all due respect you have no right to pass judgment on people who have a different opinion than yours.

I respectfully disagree with you and do not want to carry this discussion further as it will clearly veer off into the religious/political realm.

i agree with u
but the think is why families allow the girls for this type of function.even we know the condition of our country and mind of our society.
can you believe that some people stolen the cells and jewelry of three girls after death.this is the mindset of our society which is very dangerous for any country and nation as well.

It is obviously very sad incident... May it never happen again... May their souls rest in peace. Ameen.
I Agree with MAA_LLM and also with Osman Saleem. and strongly disagree with Alyosha... though I have great respect for her and all the sisters and also their integrity. Maybe Alyosha don't want respect from brothers as she terming it passing baseless jugdement of MAA_LLM opinions. what is wrong with his words he has said that one should jugde actions & mind according to the teachings os Islam. I think it is clearly stated in Holy Quran and sister you are terming the statement of Holy Quran as baseless. It is obvious from your words. If you can't stop bad actions with hands so stop bad actions by mouth and if you can't stop even by words of mouth so you are on the very lowest part of Emaan. Sister to you your desires will be important not Islam. Neither is we want to politicize this matter nor we want to give it religious touch but if you have some wrong opinions and on wrong way so it is our duty to tell you about the right path. We don't want that our sisters lose their integrity what has given to them in Islam very completely & equally. We need to inculcate good moral and religious values in the society & it should be duty of every Muslim women and men. Music is Harram in Islam and please no need to argument on it or be in support of it as termimg it it is based on one's desires. Islam is not based on one's desires, it is opposite of one's own will. Islam is complete code of life.
