Question for supporters of dictatorship

How will a dictator come to power in a country?
Is there any agreed-upon formula/procedure for that?

I guess the agreed upon formula / procedure would be "natural selection" at times of utter unruliness and despair :)

well, my question was not about the " timing " of dictatorship but method/procedure/formula for him to come to power.

( I rightly assume that members of this forum can understand the meaning of "How" & can differentiate it from the meaning of "when" ).

A procedure of " Natural Selection" has been suggested by a member.
Does not it mean " MIGHT IS RIGHT " in simple words ? Is it acceptable to us ?

please give you views about it statistically and logically with solid reasons.
dictatorship has always emerged as more democratic as far as Pakistan is concerned .. devolution of power , media freedom are examples .. talking of the development and prosperity , note down the GDP and inflation rate during dictatorship and democracy.. hope most of you know that dollar was stable during ayubs era and it doubled soon after ZAB ascended the chair.. do you know whats the most successful documentay of Pakistan??? in fact there are many points to prove the superiority of dictatorship to democracy in PAKISTANI territory... am more sure having seen the two corrupt civilian dictators and a relatively democratic dictator....:tata:tata

I'm quite amazed at such questions, it's good as it promotes healthy debates but things like democracy vs dictatorship, come on guys, we shouldn't have any doubts on such things. Such a question/discussion is not imaginable generally in the developed world because they have an unwritten social and cultural agreement that democracy is the best system we have. Europe learnt its lessons the hard way and they have evolved through a lot of bloodshed and worst conditions than we have here. Unfortunately, people in Pakistan have not seen real democracy in action. Once you see real democracy in action, you will love it because democracy gives power to the people, the people can hold their leaders accountable, the people's voice is heard, anybody can become a party leader if they have the qualities, there is rule of law and equal justice for all, party leaders roam around in streets without armed guards and travel in public transport even. In a real democratic country, you will never fear the police etc because you the citizen is highly empowered and your rights are protected. When you go for official work, it will be done according to queue sequence and no hanky panky, nowadays everything is online, you don't even have to meet a government official often.

Anyway, democracy is essentially a culture, not just elections. It is a culture of tolerance, liberalism, freedom, equality, justice/rule of law and voice of the common man.

I understand your feelings, most people here do.. But that is a very good thing to feel this pain, it is the pain that prompts you to take corrective measures.

Go and check how the Dutch Prime Minister travels to work on a Bicycle. Go and check how humble Justin Trudeau (PM of Canada) is, right after becoming Prime Minister, he travelled in a public subway and met people. The Mayor of London Ken Livingstone used to travel in metro, the current PM of UK also travels in it sometimes. Political candidates standing for elections roam around on streets and distribute their posters etc and try to convince people about their campaign throughout western europe, it is not uncommon.
By the way, US is not the sole representative of the democratic/developed world, they are not a good example either and they have certain security issues as well, but in any case, US president has a dedicated department for security and it travels with him wherever he goes.
