What do you think of this silence from the part of Saudi people and Government ?
KSA has protested officialy on govt level and was the first country to go official on this issue.
In my opinion that is best way of protest unlike us who resorted to burn tires and public properties.

True.

Every country has right to protest in her own way.If they didn't want to spread chaos & destruction,it was their choice.Official condemnation was enough.

Democracy entails freedom to information, freedom of expression, freedom to criticize. These things you will never find in Saudi. No TV channel or newspaper of Saudi is allowed to criticize the royal family. Everything to be aired must be given green light by the kingdom.

[A side note: Some Islamic scholars praise Saudi because of their low rape rate. Actually, rape is almost never reported in Saudi. They don't even record these instances to keep up their false venerate image]

You are right, that in the time of Mubarak this blasphemy would not have caused any protest. Because such a news would not have been allowed. Simple. Today they have nascent democracy, which entitles them to freedom of expression. Protests in Egypt started after that Salafist show aired a clip from that blasphemous movie. Something Mubarak would never have allowed.

It's up to you what you want, a bondage of ignorance, or a freedom however hard it maybe.
Totalitarianism is unavoidable. If you don't like political totalitarianism, you will have to live with economic totalitarianism. As in West there truly is too much political freedom, but then your lives are controlled by Corporations and Financiers. You have freedom of expression, but your expression can cost you your job and career. You have freedom to criticize, but you can't criticize your boss. The coin always has two sides dear .

@ dms & farrah zafar

Do you think it is enough to protest officially, like Pakistan often does this type of protest against drone attacks on its territory ?

That means we shouldn't attack totalitarianism, because it will always remain in some form . Hence it can be deduced that democracy+capitalism is basically transfer from political totalitarianism to rich men totalitarianism, it does not make you absolutely free like living in the state of nature, you can offend the whole world but not the rich because if you do he will make your life miserable. Heil Hitler .

To understand the attitude of Saudi government, we would have an idea about their origin, besides this, their war of school of thought against Turkey,

The great Shah Faisal Shaheed had same origin but he ordered to close the supply of oil to US during the Arab-Israel war in 1973 and showed the world that Muslims were united against the tyranny of US+Israel.

What a contrast with the Saudi rulers of today who have chosen US as their master !

It was merely a stunt to raise global oil prices.

First
where is written who ,where and with whom the protest has been placed in the given links?
saudia condemns. but how? the king condemns or the aal e saud ?
its just like minority in Israel rabis condemns Israelly occupation ........
very immature , exaggerated and baseless news..
Saudia want to down those links? when the orders will be received by US.
I am sorry to say that saudia proved that she is part of purely americans...
Second
Pakistan violence was in Karachi, Islamabad and peshawar. But Pakistan have 130 nearly cities. Why media did'nt projected those protest which were not only peaceful but having extra ordinary strength ???
No one should blame beloved Pakistan. Now on social media pics are circulating of different political parties workers carrying their flags and were part of looting and plundering. The 98% (3/130 -cities ratio) Pakistan was peaceful.
Third
Muhammad mursee President of Egypt was first one to protest officially. please correct information.
Pakistan is first country to call american ambassador, protest on country scale, looking to raise voice in UN, OIC and call for an international law on it.....(They are contacting on it-reference - express news 22-09-2012 )
