Really happy that we brought home a second Nobel!
Malala is my heroine now! She has achieved as a teenager what I can't achieve in many lifetimes! Really impressed and inspired! |

Very informative
Dear all,
I read all the stuff in this thread. It was very informative for me and my interest was increasing as I continued reading from first post to till the end. I am new in this forum but I like the way of giving arguments in justification of everyone's stance (though things should not be made too personal). The difference of opinion must be appreciated. And this difference of opinions provided me an opportunity to explore this matter of contemporary importance too much in depth. Hope you all will provide more knowledgeable material. Regards. |

I think this issue of Malala has two aspects:
One is Social and the other is Political. What makes it more controversial is the political one. Many individuals opposing Malala's exposure are choosing the international politics and propaganda which they use in support of their activities across the world. At the social point of view, her idea of educating all the women of the country is not that much contrary. |

There is another aspect of political nature, opposition to liberalism and modernizing the society . Together everything creates a political mess

It is important to discuss that while Malala had not worked much for her cause earlier to her injury, why was she given that much exposure. . .
This popularity and extensive media coverage for merely writing for a blog creates mystery. . . |

Well pretty much everything in the world is mysterious . You never know what takes you to the sky and what makes you fall. The clear reason that gained her prominence is that sympathy she gained after being attacked. And more opposition to her from one side caused more sympathy for her in the opposing side and eventually it took her to the sky . It's natural law of equilibrium that every force is met with equal and opposite force .

Musharraf Zaidi's Article and an other face...
Musharraf Zaidi's Article in New York times gave another aspect of this controversy.
He says in order...Bad Bureaucracy(System) > Creation of Taliban > Creation of Malala. So Malala should thanks the Bad Bureaucracy for her Noble Prize... Malala's Nobel prize on one hand is a Pride for us but if we see in a realistic way....She got Nobel Prize due to Garbage society of Pakistan...So, it's like some thing like she says Woe to Pakistan and West said Yes You are right..Please have a Noble Prize... It's like we say Sharmeen Obaid got Oscar for presenting a Cruel face of our Society..Oscar is Pride for us but we should be ashameful that we are Recognized as such an uncivilized Nation that People cleaning our Garbage or showing it globally are getting Prizes... Simply speaking she is saying "Woe on You Pakistanis" Pakistanis Fired On her Forehead... West said Wow what a Brave Girl...Noble Prize Please..

Remember most of the people outside Pakistan think Pakistan as a whole a terrorist or uncivilized society...We know the difference but they don't...It's same like we all think whole America will be a Tech Society but there are poorly developed areas in west as well...Or Americans are much civilized etc but there are Red Indians and Negroes as well...t I think before more people start getting Noble Prizes for depicting our downtrodden and remote society we must awake...Why things are so worse here that People get astonished outside on seeing the facts? They see and say even in this era when Man is trying to reach the next galaxy people like this still exist...

Maalala said that For most Pashtuns it’s a gloomy day when a daughter is born.
its totally wrong because in our society we give more respect to our women
