That allowance depends on your your station(city). In big cities(Lahore etc) you get around 20000 but there are some station where you got only 6000-7000.

But you are eligible for that allowance if:
1) you are not living in NTDC colony(Govt.residence) and have your own house(you will get allowance with your pay)
2) you acquire house on rent(in this case that amount is equal to your rent and send directly to your house owner)

I think only account department has been finalized by NTDC. Engineering section interviews are still up in the air.
