Thanks for your kind response Mr.Sammar
I have a question from you that
A candidate with economics got interviewed, panel asked him that you have done in economics how would you do work as IIR and he was rejected
Q1. What will be the best answer of this question before panel?
Q2. What will be the role of statistics in this field?
Q3. What will be the role of computer science in this field?

Dear,
What I observed was that interview penal had difficulty in selection. For the of your knowledge penal had difficulty in selection. Personally I had business experience, which helped me a lot. Because I had insight as taxation. Apart from that competent candidates such as CSS & PCS written qualifiers failed in this test. A very competent lady Ms. Aneela Fakhar was very competent she got women quota seat from Punjab. She had superb command on taxation system. Coming to your questions:
A1. Economics is also relevant to taxation system. Taxation affects the economic situation, as government encourages (pakaged dairy products which have tax holiday or installation of under-developed areas as well as investment in energy projects) as well as discourages certain item through taxation (like cigarettes). So the best answer would be that Sir, Macro economic factor are controlled and varied through tax policy).
A2. Statistics is just OK, but not as such helpful.
A3. As far as computer science is considered it is very much relevant as entire system of FBR is computerized, computer science is very beneficial for data mining in order to counter tax evasion.

As you are the senior most fell here, I got questions for you. Is this Pre-Selection based on your score in the test or your academic background/subjects/degree? If based on degree, how much a candidate with B.com degree be hopeful? Should we begin preparing for the interview without waiting for the Pre-selection list?

Dear, honestly I think I was amazed that the penal members did not ask me a single question about my qualification. But I was asked about withholding taxes, Water tax (tax of agriculture but collected by provincial tax), land revenue, local govt. taxes (land assailable to rent, Usher), professional tax (collected by provincial excise department), does income decreases with electricity bill? Which taxes you paid? 1 doctor earn less another a lot why same tax? many many other question, trade imbalance, How can we know that a filed withholding tax is true & factual? Businessmen keep 1 record for themselves and if FBR calls for record they provide fabricated record. Many many other questions. Usual time for all 13 candidates was 15 minutes. Only a chartered accountancy finalist girl and myself were interviewed for 20-25 minutes.

My CSP Sir asked me that how you got this job as many CSS & PCS qualifiers failed in this exam but I swear to Allah I got it on dint of my merit & I know entire batch is competent and capable.

Coming to your question, degree is just for the sake of qualification. What interview penal wanted was out of box knowledge. As SSP Umar Riaz (CSS topper) said when your motives are to get a job from qualification or degree. Whereas, CSS is larger than life exam.

Qualification is irrelevant. Neither it is required nor have any weight age in selection. It is the knowledge that matters a lot. I gave my entire interview in English and Alhamdulilih I am fluent in English spoken as well as written. My friend gave his entire interview in Urdu. He got 22 merit order, whereas I got 107 merit. So neither the qualification nor the experience is important, it is the knowledge that matters. Interview plays a decisive factor as interview is of 200 marks and written is of 100 marks.

How these 200 interview marks are classified. I mean on what basis they are given: What's their awarding criteria? Like personality, experience?
Any idea?

Dear, selection includes multifarious things are considered by FPSC. FPSC works in coordination with intelligence agencies. After last interview FPSC takes 1.5-2 months to comprehensively profile the selected candidates. Everything is verified including degree, age, experience and domicile. Also SMS and calls are monitored.

Yes. You are right. But I am asking how and on what basis these interview 200 marks are given and divided? What is the formula for these 200 interview marks? What candidates do to get higher marks in the interview? In what things these 200 marks are divided? Examiners, what things judge to award marks to the candidates? I want to know about the formula of these 200 marks?
