I have been informed by IPC that I have been nominated for Commonwealth General Scholarship. They asked me to collect my papers from them. I just did not know anyone who can pick the nomination papers from them. They will mail it to me now.

Can someone please tell me what documents are required to reply for the nomination, so I can arrange them. Please

I got the letter in my hands today. Basically, it's a set of instructions I have to follow including certain credentials I have to complete such as an IELTS score of 6.5 or above.

I got an IELTS overall score of 8.5 a coule of years ago. Now, I have to take the test again as it isn't valid anymore...... Arghhhh


Till the 23rd of November you have to provide the following:-

i) You have to fill in an application form in all aspects with one passport size photograph along with all educational documents attested by a Grade-17 officer or above.

ii) Two reference letters from your Professors (in original) from the institution where you have earned your last degree.

iii) Research proposal/study plan (at least two pages)

The above documents are to be provided in the shape of plastic binding. (One set is required).

You need to submit an IELTS test score of 6.5 or above in a test taken no later than October 1st, 2013. The test result scores have to be provided by 31st January, 2014. (The IELTS test can be taken free of cost upon presenting a copy of this letter to the British Council, Islamabad.)

Rest of the info you will get and understand when you receive the letter.

Same .. I took IELTS in June 2012 ... and now again ..

The letter from IPC states that IELTS fee won't be charged if we present a copy of this letter with our IELTS application ... Is this true? If so, to claim this we just send copy of this letter or write an application + copy of letter?

Also in IELTS one is requested to provide CNIC or Passport as credential, but passport does not have one signature on it (whereas it is essential requirement for identification doc to have signature) .. Anyone know if passport is valid or not?

Also the "Application form" they requested is it a separate application or a print out of the one we will fill online (EAS)?

I think they mean the print out of the EAS form because they is no form with their letter. Though, I am not 100% sure about it and I'll be calling the IPC phone number to make sure.

For all candidates nominated for Commonwealth Scholarship the process for FREE IELTS registration is as below:


1) Fill Online form
2) Print Online Form
3) Write Application detailing that you have nominated by IPC for commonwealth scholarship and that as per Commonwealth Commission of UK you are exempt from paying fee (Include your name + Contact No. + Email Address)
4) Attach 2 passport photos + CNIC/Passport copy (which ever doc you have used to register)
5) Photocopy of IPC Nomination Letter
6) Send Registration Form + Application + Photocopy of IPC nomination letter + Photos + Credential Doc photocopy to British Council

OR

Visit your nearest British Council office with above docs to register for ILETS Free ..

can we now conform the total scholarships and merit list for common wealth general scholarship 2014???

I havent given ielts yet? that means i cannot apply? someone said ielts taken no later than 1st october

also...what is the highest score in this test?

Does any one know what application form are we supposed to fill and provide along with the application?

Can someone please tell me how to develop a study plan? what is included? specially if i dont know for what university I'm developing it? I'd really appreciate the help
