This is absolutely an undoubtedly true as in Quran it is mentioned:
"Beshak namaaz behayae aur burai se rokti hai".
So if someone continues to offer prayer and is also indulged in the wrong doings then he must understand that his Namaz is nothing but a physical excercise.
