Just read an article by Yasir Peerzada pointing to ill treatment of a young maid working to pamper the baby not more than 5 year younger to her.

This is a sad story, and a true story, and a common story. Please suggest me what one can practically do for a young ten or eleven years old maid working to take care of one's kids.

It is very common attitude as I also observed.

Suggestion:

One should behave opposite to what that family did.Attitude with maids should be courteous as it shows one's mentality and ethics.It would be great favour if one arranges to make such younger maids get education.The greatest favour would be respect if one wants to give to his maid.

Respect should be given but respect is not enough. Get her education sounds good but it is very very difficult. You can provide her books and copies and eraser pencil sharpner but to teach a ten years old girl right from ABC, one has to spend his two hours daily. Phir apnay bacho ko bhi parhana hota hay. Practically this becomes almost impossible.

After reading above article,I think "respect" is very important.
Hmm So what exactly you want to do?I think education is the best thing you can do for someone.The other thing is;provide her financial help on her marriage as I observed they get marry in an early age.

I am facing this situation. A ten year old maid takes care of my children. I don't like it but I have to live with it. I give her three thousand per month. This salary is also not fair but I am not very rich and can not afford more than this. Other maids working in our neighboring homes are also taking the same amount. I know this exploitation is because of system and because of her parents but who knows when system will change. That is why i asked for suggestions.

Dear I didn't say marriage will educate her.Jazib asked what he can do for her maid or what one should do?I suggested;
1)Help her in getting education
2)Help her financially when she will get marry and according to my observation they get marry in an early age so he can help her soon,once, in a good way.

@Jazib 3000 is enough as one has to pay according to his financial strength.han ager ap afford ker saktay aur phir b kam pay kertay tou tab ye ghalat hota but now don't feel guilty.

In our society we think we are pathetic.we are deprived.Even having too or not.
But i myself wanted to teach disables.i wanted to serve.but my family bounds restrained me.one have to go against family,class and even society.one has to sacrifice relation.The daunting reality terrorise us.we do not dare to do any thing.this is the difference between hero and common man.

@farah i can admit your saying over imaginary plane.reality is much harsh.no one want to get married thy maid working for their sake.

i experienced in my relatives,when one male and female child are working together.the got affiliated and associated.and evil has started.

I just want to know what exactly one can do. Everyone knows that this is not right. These young girls are being exploited. This is child labor. Their salary is far below the minimum wage of 7000. But even if their salary is increased it is of no good for their future. These kids should be in school. Their parents are exploiting them taking all their salary giving them nothing. This is happening everywhere in our society, everyone knows this is wrong and no one can do anything. System is indeed very powerful. But what else can be done than blaming the system.
